Great classes and facilities. Clean. Opportunities for community involvement
Great classes !!!
Many classes at all times of the day and suited to all ages and abilities.
Convenient (nearby), affordable
I love my Zumba Gold with Laurie of low and mid intensity class, but it's only offered 1 x a week. My class would appreciate another class by the same teacher.
We enjoy taking the classes and meeting new friends.
Nancy was an amazing swimming teacher!! I was a great experience!
Ease of use of they.
Very well kept facility, great customer service.
The range of workout options, including Gravity! Great class for a whole body workout.
Tai Chi, the pool, and the fact that the whole place is finally getting cleaned and shaped up.
Instructor are awesome.
great equipment to work on
Swim lessons with Nancy E. are awesome. She is very patient with the kids and I would recommend her to anyone.
The variety of classes . Quality of fitness instructors. Friendly personnel. Renovation of building to a modern high quality community fitness center
I am a relative newcomer to the Y of Annapolis but I do have a little history with some smaller locations outside of the region. Where this The Y®️ lacks in personable staff it makes up for in programs and the abundance of cyber and other brand machines. I am a big fan of the diverse staff from many different backgrounds. There is a bit of an undercurrent of testosterone stress and I have picked up the worst crotch and butt crack rot of my life but I would not change fitness centers for the world. I have tried twenty four hour fitness (roidville) as well as Planet Fitness (pizza butt) but prefer the family atmosphere of The Y®️ of Greater Annapolis/Arnold. No offense to those who enjoy the harsh aggressive feeling of the above fitness centers but as a natural, bovine and performance enhancing drug free, want to be fit, black man with tattoos on his leg and arm I think that I have found a match for my budding family. My fear is that as a forty something year old afflicted with Shingles I will be taken advantage of by the young bucks and old men who have more “appliances” at their disposal. I type this half serious and half not serious. I grew up in the era of the Leaders club and want my almost two year old daughter to do the same.
I love the classes and the friendly people.
I have been a member at this facility since the day it first opened many years ago and it has gotten better since the Y became the owner/operator.
I use the Y on a very regular basis and I really love it. The improvements have all been great. I'm looking forward to my classes not moving around so much, and to having the proper weights and other equipment available where I work out. However, I can see that the staff is doing everything they can to make things run as smoothly as possible given the construction.
Great classes and instructors. The gym is always clean and orderly.
Every time I go i am always happy, it makes feel relaxed and I like how we can choose the classes for the times that we are available.
The variety of good yoga classes that are held at a variety of times is the biggest reason I am a member but I also do use the equipment sometimes. I like that my money supports an organization that supports the community.
Staff very helpful and friendly!
Variety of workouts.
Age span. Love old and young people together.
Friendly staff, usually helpful.
Nice clean new facilities.
Started using the pool this summer. Everyone is polite and lifeguards handle situations tactfully. No obnoxious parents or kids. Usually can find a chair. Lots of shade in the afternoon.
Haven’t been there when camp is in session, but looks well run and doesn’t affect my workouts.
Hoping my favorite machine comes back after renovation (#1), or if new style, hope I can figure it out and find it.
EVERYTHING !!!!!
The friendly people. The variety of classes offered. Now the facility is getting a new face lift, nice!
Variety of machines to use in gym. Hours are good and pool is great.
Carolyn is a wonderful instructor for my son.
I love all the activities and classes that are available. I love the stay and play and how you strive to keep the kids safe from predators. (though I did like the old room better where the wall was all window so that everyone could be seen constantly by people who were just walking by… I felt like that was more incentive for the workers to behave as well as others.)

Indoor tennis courts— although not this summer unfortunately!
