The Ellicott City Y has a great Management Team and an excellent Staff. The equipment is in great shape and the staff does a great job keeping the equipment clean.
There are a variety of classes and programs for all interest. I enjoy the Pickleball, weight training and Spin classes. The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable .
It is a great place for the entire family.
Staff is wonderful, responsive, polite, very professional.
Facilities are clean. I use the pool - come 6 times a week. Everything is clean and well organized.

I love the pleasant atmosphere and friendly people. The fitness room is well maintained and the staff and users are diligent about wiping equipment before and after with sanitizing cloths provided. I have a great personal trainer, too.

I like the many options of classes, equipment and the pool. I feel they try to be very responsive to the requests of the members.
I like the precautions the Y has taken which has allowed us to enjoy exercising safely. I have been back to the Y since they reopened & have never been concerned about my health or exposure to Covid.
The Y has done a fantastic job of cleaning and enforcing social distancing as well as proper mask wearing. I’ve been back to the Y as soon as they reopened.
The Y in Ellicott City is a fabulous place! The staff are friendly, especially the gentleman on entry who works taking temperatures in the evenings. The blond lady who works in the gym on Sundays is always thoroughly cleaning the machines. Makes me feel safe working out there. I really enjoy that nobody is hovering or rushing you to finish on the treadmill. Overall, it has been such a great experience and happy place to work out.
The Y is clean and well maintained. It is a friendly place to work out. I take water fitness and the instructor is excellent and the workout thorough. All of the staff are friendly and some even greet me by name. I have been a Y member for 42 years. First in Towson and in Howard County.for the past 34 years. I also swim laps a couple of days a week and consider my Y time as my own time to stay fit and meet others with the same ambition.
Cheerful staff
Prior to and during COVID, I've always found the Y to be a clean safe environment for all. I know it was a difficult year for businesses and appreciate the Y trying to do everything they can to offer members classes and open fitness floor. I'm very impressed how the Y has made it happen.
Love the reservations system. So great not to have to share a lane!
Friendly staff
It's safe, everyone is friendly, it is a great way to get out safely among people and get some exercise.
The Dancel Y adheres to Covid-19 precautions. The lifeguards are very professional They are quick to assist with opening the lane guards since I am an older person with arthritis. The gym staff are friendly & available to help me with settings on the machines. I can't say enough good things about my personal trainer- Stacy - who is extremely patient and provides a detailed explanation about why it is important to do specific exercises.
We like that the Y Dancel center has a family friendly atmosphere, take safety and security seriously, priced reasonably, provide variety of family friendly learning activities, clean, professional and friendly staffs, and contribute to the local community.
The staff is so friendly and helpful, the facility is so clean, especially the pool and locker rooms, i love it
