Convenient hours, helpful staff, always clean
I wanted to observe my son's swim team practice but I was not allowed inside of pool but a Y crew guide me to the upstairs bicycle room to see my son's practice. It was a great feeling to have such a kindness. Thanks!
What I like about the"Y" at Dancel is that even with the pandemic the crew members are trying their best to make this place as safe and fun as possible as it was before.
Good, friendly staff. Equipment is well maintained. COVID protocols have been excellent. Call out to Jamal in the fitness center, and to Pam in the arthritis class for their excellent assistance to this old guy.
Different workout options in group classes, equipments and open late hours too.
Made me to stay healthy, energetic and smile throughout the day. Bills and time for my healthcare visits is less.
It is the only place I can enjoy aqua exercise 3 times a week.
Friendly staff and excellent gym equipment
I have been a member for many years. I love love love the classes I take (yoga and Everfit). They are both TOTALLY ALWSOME!!!!! The instructors are fantastic.

The facilities and staff are all top notch. I enjoy belonging to an organization that not only provides a first rate gym experience to its members but also works to support the local community and those who can benefit from the Y experience.
I love that the hours are convenient for those of us that work during the day. Additionally, the facility is clean and the staff if VERY friendly and helpful!

Staff is friendly and helpful. I use the warm pool. Exercise classes are great! Water pool temp has been good the past couple of weeks.

Lots of programs and activities
The Y in Ellicott City is great place to be. The atmosphere is respectful and friendly! Very friendly staff and the facilities are quite clean. The teaching staff is awesome and very knowledgeable. The people who come to the Y are friendly, never mean spirited. It is a great place for families! I have made many friends at the Y. Overall, I enjoy every visit!!!!
Family experience and a safe atmosphere
I really enjoy the water fitness classes and water Zumba classes. Rebecca is a knowledgeable and fun instructor for water fitness. Samantha is an awesome and talented water Zumba instructor. I like that the pools, bathrooms and locker rooms are clean and that the showers work well.
Please try to hire more lifeguards so the water classes are not limited to 25 participants.

What can I say. What a great place. From the classes and, of course, the Pickleball that is amazing run by Charles Brown. There is always something to do. The staff always answers any questions I may have. The online schedules are the best. You can find whatever class you like at whatever Y you would like. The atmosphere is so wonderful. So glad I joined.
Bring with friends while I exercised
My kids and I feel very welcome here, with lots of activities for different age groups.
The fitness center is open with no mask mandate, no vax card requirement and no other draconian measurers to make it look like they are superficially trying to control a virus with a miniscule death rate. They believe in personal responsibility and trust it's members to be responsible. Bravo!

I like the instructors for the water classes (in the warm pool). Also front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Just wish they had Aqua Arthritis classes in the evening for us folks still working during the day.
