Very great place
The managers and staff are the heart of the New Tampa Y and they are a major part of what makes it such a special place. Front desk personnel always greet you cheerfully, are always there to help and answer questions if you need them and wish you a “good day” as you leave. The managers including Ryan and Connor are all helpful and accessible to answer questions or address member needs. Eamon is one of the hardest workers I know and takes great pride in keeping the building and facilities clean and well maintained. The Y provides—and rotates—a wide variety of classes, programs, and activities to cater to the needs of families and members all ages. The members themselves seem to be respectful and courteous to one another. I have been a member of “gyms” through my entire adolescence and adult life, but the New Tampa Y is, without question, the best place for health, fitness and community I’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of.

The instructor was excellent with the kids. I appreciated the techniques used to help them feel more confident in the water. However, the water temperature was sometimes too cold, which detracted from the lessons.

Warm friendly atmosphere. Variable classes for adults. Good, functional and clean equipment. More yoga classes would be great!
David, the instructor, was patient and supportive with my kids. They loved going to the lessons and looked forward to it each weekend.

The Plant City YMCA has the very BEST water aerobics instructors. I drive over from Tampa because the Central City YMCA (closest to me) does not have a good water aerobics instructor. I come over to see friends too because I’ve been a member a long time and joined the Y when I lived in Plant City. Love love love Lisa, Ilia and Brooke❤️

The atmosphere is so welcoming from the moment you arrive. The front desk acknowledges your arrival and are happy to help you with any questions or concerns.
I have taken advantage of the Personal Training program provided and have been throughly impressed with Glenn( my Trainer). His fitness knowledge is extensive and quite impressive. His attentiveness to the client is exceptional. So, much so that I have extended my training sessions. Looking forward to attending the Group Fitness classes as well.
