Springs Y Aquatics is splendid in many ways. It all begins with Coach Janet. She has an energy and efficiency that makes people want to work with her and be around her. Her passion for helping people of ALL ages feel confident in the water, by either learning how to swim or improving stroke work and stamina, flows out of the water as well. After working with Coach Janet, or one of her coaches or swim instructors, you hold your head higher after each experience. From learn to swim, age group club, masters, water aerobics, lap swimming or splash around fun, Coach Janet and her team have your back.
Janet Risser is a phenomenal masters swim coach and overall aquatic program Director. She has well-structured and challenging workouts and is so encouraging to us swimmers.
The pool and other aquatic facilities are clean and well maintained. The only thing on my wish list for the outdoor pool is an enclosed bathroom for use during the colder winter months.
Does a good job focusing on the basics of strokes/swimming.
The YMCA does an excellent job focusing on the basics/building blocks of swimming/stroke development.
It's a good program, but a bit crowded. There is only 1 coach for 15-120 swimmers, and I'm not sure equal attention is paid to all unfortunately. It's a good facility and well maintained.
Big exercise rooms, two adult pools and one kids pool. great staff. Keep up the good work.
Group excercise program with great instructors is an excellent work out. Clean facility. Front desk staff are friendly & helpful
Synchronized Swimming Class with Anna and the cleanliness of the pool and bathrooms
Senior water exercise classes
Strength training and Pickleball
Great water exercise
Great program. Very good with small children. Seeing progress already after only 4 sessions
I'm loving the masters swim program!
My only feedback is that I wish there was a similar program for kids: not as frequent as swim team but still advanced for kids who want to swim a couple of times a week while also having time to partake in other sports and activities on other days of the week.
I go to Katie's yoga classes and Britney's spin class. I also use the tread mill and the stretching within the weight area behind the treadmills. I wish there was a room dedicated to individual warm up and/or post workout stretching. The area I usually use (within the weight area behind the treadmills) is pretty small and usually active.
The classes offered & who teaches classes are really good. All the employees are very helpful & nice. Even fellow members are very friendly & helpful too. So really enjoy coming here.
I generally only use the cardio equipment and the free weight room. Occasionally I will also swim. I can see there is SO much to do and vow to take a class some time (so many fun options) and play some pickleball.
There is variety of class type, the instructors are top tier, there are options for different dates/times. I love that there is childcare too!
The wide range of options
This is the first day care setting that I have 100% felt completely comfortable leaving my son AND that he wanted to go to on his own accord.
Likewise, you all have chosen extremely nice equipment. It's a joy to workout here!
Excellent facility at the Springs and top notch class leaders.
Indoor & outdoor pools! 🏊♂️
The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
While I have not participated in any programs, I do enjoy the availability of the exercise equipment,
We enjoy the aquatics facility at Springs especially outdoor pool in summer. The pool is clean, the kids play area is great and lots of comfy chairs to sit in during rest periods. We have had excellent swim instructors the past 2 summers so despite being young, my daughter is a confident swimmer.
My husband and I primarily use the free-weight room and the strength-training machines and equipment nearby. We're pleased with the variety of equipment and how well-maintained it is. I also love the two swimming pools, especially on those blazing Texas summer days. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the facility clean and nice, the locker rooms well-equipped, and everything just generally great. We're lucky to have such a wonderful facility in Dripping Springs.
The machines and equipment are all top quality and the space is always clean. The front desk staff are professional, friendly and well dressed. So far, the classes have been excellent and every person I have met there, has been very polite, friendly and interesting to talk with. It is so affordable and really worth it.
I just use the free weights area, but it is always clean and everyone is so kind. My 10 month old has been going to the childcare since she was six months and we have never had a bad experience! I feel 100% incredible when I drop her off all of the people and the kids area are amazing and someone’s always tending to, the kids, but especially the babies. It all allows me to get a great workout and be a better mom because I know she’s being well taken care of!! Cannot recommend Springs Y enough.
It is not just a gym it is a community
