We came to Sylvan with a real dilemma between the impending risk of failing math with its burden of stigma and lower self esteem and the overwhelming confusion of where to start. With hard work, cooperation between the tutors and home, we moved from failing to a “B” in five weeks. As important, our student has integrated the lessons and can do more math independently. We are so appreciative of the positive “can-do” atmosphere, the option to work both virtually and in-person and the appropriate used of incentives to coax “best behavior”. Thank you Sylvan for helping us out of a tight spot with style.
So far its been great....Its only been a few months, so i am anxious to see the progress in a few more months
Sylvan was able to help my son get caught up on his school work and has a clear concise plan of learning for the summer. Super excited to be part of this program for him.
First, they are patient with stressed, over-worked, and emotionally charged mothers. Every time I expressed a concern or was frustrated about something, Xandra met me with kindness, understanding, and a problem-solving disposition. I can’t thank her enough for not meeting my frustration with her own; instead she gave me time to express myself and then fixed it. Also, my son is constantly carrying on about how much he loves all his teachers there. He lost a part of himself during this pandemic and Sylvan brought back my happy, confident child. Lastly, ALL THE WORK THAT GOT DONE! Thanks to Sylvan, my son is finished with school early.

Th staff at this center are so caring. You can tell that they love what they do and love teaching! Hands down the best place to get your child ready for school, caught up, or ahead of their class.

Pricey... but hearing your child is now VOLUNTEERING to read to the class aloud... when he was not confident enough to do so before, makes it worth every penny!!!

My daughter has been going to Sylvan for about a month but I’m happy with what she’s accomplished. The teachers are amazing and she is excited to go go every time. Having virtual available was nice when our family were exposed so she didn’t have to lose the progress she was making. I can’t wait to see what else she accomplished!
The instructor was amazing! My son Ben connected with him immediately and did the work on the suggested timeline. We haven't take the test so don't know yet results of work but it was an excellent experience. First name removed

My daughter who is in 8th grade was struggling to get work done and constantly had missing assignments in various classes. Her grades were suffering as well. In a month she was able to make changes, get caught up and feel more successful with school. She ended the last marking period with all A’s and B’s and is back on track! The director and staff have helped her tremendously and I am so thankful for them. It has been such a positive experience for her.
My daughter loves attending! She is always in a good mood heading in and leaving from each session. She feels cared for and she's given the space to make mistakes and grow.

My 2nd grader goes to sylvan in Jackson. She has only gone for a month and I see such a difference!. She is actually excited to learn now and I'm also excited she found a place to help. Wonderful place and so thankful for all the teachers there!
