What do you like about your membership?

The variety of available sports and classes, the friendly staff and great instructors. The friendly atmosphere everywhere.

I would suggest better marketing, though. Hardly any members are aware that there is a Volleyball group on Wed evenings, for instance. It’s not announced anywhere (schedules on flyers or website). I have also not seen any description of current classes or sports (Pickleball, for instance is a new sport; few know what it is about).

Accommodation of new schedules (time and frequency increase) is also a difficult negotiation with the administration. There should be a closer monitoring on numbers of players/clients to understand where adjustments could be made.

Anyway... it’s a great place. I love the Y at Kennett.

What do you like about your membership?

I like that... the instructors take time to explain things, especially before or after class.... that friends in group exercise care if when I don't show up... from desk Jeanie knows my name and compliments me when I get my hair done or wear special earrings... my husband, daughter, and I can come together on weekends and find things to do.

I like the morning classes and the quality of the instructors. Specifically, cycling, yoga and pilates.

Terrific, motivating instructors; fun, challenging classes; nice facility; more-than-adequate hours; friendly, competent front-desk staff. Members are a wonderfully diverse group in terms of age and background. I have made many friends at the Y, including some I would never have come across in my outside life. I consider the Kennett Y to be my second home.

What do you like about your membership?

Childwatch- most of all. I like that my children are safe and having fun while I exercise. I also love the exercise classes, especially Body Pump. All the instructors are high-energy and know exactly what they're doing. I like the wide variety of exercise classes always being added to the schedule. The staff in ChildWatch and KidZone are always welcoming and friendly to my kids. The locker rooms are always clean too! My kids enjoy their swim lessons and my son had a wonderful birthday party with Marla and Elana helping. Thank you Kennett YMCA!

We love the Kennett Y. Our kids meet up with their friends to play basketball, workout, and socialize.

When we see our kids workout, it helps motivate us to want to do the same.

What do you like about your membership?

Friendly, upbeat staff and members. There are a lot of enthusiastic, happy people (both staff and members) who make the Y a fun environment. There is a broad array of classes and instructors who are always willing to coach and advise, even to casual questions. The facilities are always sparkling clean — something hard to achieve with the volume of users. It’s definitely a winner!
