What do you like about our programs and activities?

I like the social aspect of the program & the fact that it keeps the kids busy after school.

I would like to see a bit more organized activity - crafts, games, puzzles, etc,. It would also be nice if there were more younger employees to interact with the kids.

I just found out that the Y is open at 5AM. This is great because I can go before going to work. It has a vast variety of exercise classes that are available.

What do you like about your membership?

In the past I have gone to other gyms and other YMCA’s and I have to say the Kennett Y just has the best staff and such a hometown feel every time I go. The instructors (especially Krista, Angela, Kelly, and Becky) love what they do and you can tell because they make every class fun and get to know everyone in class and push you at the same time! I tell everyone they should give the Kennett Y a try because it is unique in that everyone who works there is super friendly and welcoming!

There are lots of choices for everyone from classes to equipment. They also listen to the members, constantly making changes to improve the Y for all.

Price is fair for: use of a clean, comfortable, modern, well and variously equipped facility; operated an amazingly wide range of hours; by a sufficient, knowledgeable, and bend-over-backwards-hospitable staff.

What do you like about your membership?

The kennett YMCA is always very clean and feels safe. The body pump classes are excellent and the equipment rooms are great.The Saturday pilates class is excellent with Susan.
I like to use the lap pool, but work full time and need to swim after work or weekends. I am all for the swim team, but find it frustrating that they are there till 8 pm or so. I wish there were more free lanes for us lap swimmers from 4 pm on even if just two nights per week. Mostly there is only one lap lane available from 4 pm on.
I wonder also why as a paying member I need to share the pool with a high school team. I understand sharing with the Y swim team, but I do not think we should have to share it with a school team. Swimming is the best form of exercise for a lot of us and I feel we shouldn't have to share the pool with a high school team. That may sound harsh, but a line needs to be drawn somewhere. It is hard enough to get open lanes with the Y team there (which I feel is great for the kids and I respect this program), let alone a high school team.
The member service desk people are very friendly and helpful.

The Y has a strong commitment to satisfy the desires of members.

They do an excellent job of explaining what's coming up ie the August maintenance shutdown, swim meets causing closing of the pool to lap swimmers, new exercise equipment coming.
