Amazing admin team and great teachers

The teachers know all the kids, not just the ones in their classroom. The office staff is helpful and responsive.
This is one of the most expensive daycares in our area and we had expectations measurable with the tuition that we pay. Below are some issues we attempted to solve since our child’s enrollment, and it’s became time consuming, disruptive to our work commitments, having a negative impact on our child’s development.
1. The frequent teacher changes - in the first 2 months following my two years old’s transition into the new classroom I had met an array of teachers there I hadn’t meet on the hallways of his prior enrolled year.
2. The low teacher to child ratio - at various times throughout the day the teacher to child ratio doesn’t meet the required standards, with the teachers looking overwhelmed.
3. Not correcting undesirable behavior and forcing a child’s dismissal for the day - on a couple occasions in less than two years we were called during the day, and as soon after the drop off, to pick up our child as “he was being agresive”. We are required to sign, daily incident reports that have no value to our child as they do not provide details of how the incident was resolved and what educational measures that gave a positive result were implemented and how these behaviors are to be avoided later on.
4. Lack of parent-teacher sessions at least once a year - The teachers do not have time to discuss child matters during drop off/pick up and some of the teachers are not fully qualified to have developmental discussions with the parents and their messages are not clear delivered.
5. Occasional daycare staff rough behavior - the camera view displays video without sounds opening a different perspective. Often when a child is displaying a non desired behavior, the child/class is met with reprimanding actions instead of empathy. On occasion, during meal and nap times the child is pulled by an arm or more rough force is applied to put them in place. The facial expressions also lack understanding and empathy. Often times teacher engagement during incidents is missing.
We like that the program teaches soft skills in addition to hard skills. There's a lot of thought that goes into planning the theme for each week and we appreciate the variety of activities that our kid is exposed to.
We have been part of the Lightbridge Academy of Apex family for over 5 years, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. Throughout all those years, they have provided our children with a level of consistency, care, and support that has given us incredible peace of mind. I have never had to worry about who my child was with or whether they were safe, loved, and well cared for.
As our littles have grown and we’ve experienced behavioral changes or challenges along the way, the teachers and staff have always worked alongside us to find solutions. They listen, communicate, and genuinely partner with us as parents.
Lightbridge Academy of Apex has truly felt like an extension of our family. They have been with us every step of the way, and we are incredibly grateful for the love, consistency, and care they have provided over the years. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Lightbridge Valhalla brings a level of comfort and security to our family. The teachers, staff, and everyone in between are amazing and our little one finds it hard to leave every day at pick up. The curriculum and activities clearly have a positive impact on our little one as we see her progressing as the months go by. Thanks again to everyone at Lightbridge Valhalla!
My daughter has been going to West Caldwell Lightbridge Academy for over a year and a half. We absolutely love all of the teachers at Lightbridge because they all show so much affection and love towards my daughter!
I love the teachers and the administration- they make it such a welcoming place to come everyday for the parents and the students. Everyone is extremely friendly and wants to see your child

The staff is always so kind and you can tell they genuinely care about the wellbeing of the kids. We feel confident that our baby is being well cared for during the day.
Improve teacher turnover rate by having enough teachers and compensating them well so they don't keep leaving.
We have been Lightbridge at this location since it opened. I trust the staff and the kids always enjoy their time here. We are grateful to have this aftercare available for our kids ♥️

The teachers & their commitment to our kids! They are committed to their growth & learning. My husband and I love to get our updates throughout the day about everything they did that day together!
What I love about the program is the organization, support, and willingness to listen to parents’ concerns. My son has attended for the past year, and my family and I appreciate the staff at Lightbridge Academy. The app updates are a plus, and the facility has a camera for families who would love to pop in and see their little ones throughout the day. Overall, I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a nice, and clean center.

Ms Tamira has made the kangaroos class much better. I was very unhappy with how things were going in the class before she joined. She has brought structure, activities, learning, and themes back to the classrooms. It was truly chaos before she took over. I hope that this classroom does not see another period in which 18 toddlers are in the room. That was far too many for any teacher and especially without a lead teacher. Thanks to Ms Tamira, I now feel comfortable bringing my son to daycare and each day.
We love Lightbridge Ft. Washington. It's clean, well organized, and secure. The administration is excellent and does a nice job of keeping the families updated. The app works well for communication as well. Overall the teachers are excellent, with Ms. Kyla, Ms. Arianna, Ms. Terryn, Ms. Jabraya, and Ms. Jenna being standouts for our family. The activities are well-designed for the kids' ages and our son comes home happy and safe.
The only thing I wish were different was teacher turnover. The ones listed above have been constants for our two years with the Center, but some of our others have unfortunately come and gone.
We truly appreciate our child’s teachers and the care they provide. Our concerns are mainly about communication and leadership. The current director’s approach doesn’t always seem to reflect the family-centered values the owners shared and have demonstrated since we enrolled. Those values were a big part of why we chose Lightbridge.
We've have received repeated requests to keep children home because of staffing challenges. We understand staffing can be difficult, but frequent requests make it harder for families to rely on the care they’ve arranged.
Our child has been walking confidently since about 12½ months and is nearing 15 months, but is still in the non-mobile classroom. We’d appreciate more communication about the criteria and timing for transitioning children to classrooms that better fit their development.
Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about Lightbridge Academy! If you and your family are looking for the perfect daycare for your child, this is the place to be. The environment is warm and welcoming, and all of the staff have been incredibly pleasant and supportive to work with.
Ms. Kopal has been especially wonderful in helping new moms navigate the transition to daycare and making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Ms. Fanny and Ms. Megha are absolutely amazing and truly show how much they love and care for the children they work with.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience at Lightbridge Academy! It’s a wonderful school, and we highly recommend it to any family looking for a caring, nurturing, and supportive environment for their little ones!

Lightbridge does a really nice job at listening to input from parents and implementing what will best serve their children. There was quite a bit of turnover in the toddler classrooms so the school re-evaluated and made Miss Tamira as head teacher. The classroom is so organized now, children are way happier and are working through developmental milestones all because of her leadership- so grateful that lightbridge administration recognized the need, made the change and Miss Tamira did/is doing an amazing job!
Administrative staff are creative, engaging, and utilize open communication. They make the environment fun and inviting. Classroom staff are knowledgeable and implement the curriculum.
