Very friendly and hygienic
We’ve had a mixed experience with teachers. Half of the staff has been great but we unfortunately had a lot of disappointing experiences with the other half. A couple teachers we encountered so far also don’t seem to be familiar with what is developmentally appropriate for the age they work with. The office staff has also been mixed, some are nice but some are very rude. But there are a lot of really amazing staff member as well.
Well I’m very happy with the overall program. I enjoy the structure from class to class. I truly enjoy that parents are heard and all sorts of adjustments can be made to make the school comfortable for the kids and parents. Staff is very friendly and happy ! Seems like the school has evolved in great ways every year!
We can't say enough good things about Lightbridge Academy! The facilities are bright, clean and inviting. Each room is filled with age-appropriate, educational and engaging toys and activities. The staff are friendly and warm. Our daughter's teachers always welcome us with a smile and seem genuinely excited to spend the day with her. We would recommend joining the Lightbridge family to any of our family and friends!
The cost for tuition for this school is insane. I paid $1650-$1550 a month, that's the highest end of tuition cost I've seen so far. On top of the tuition, every other event is an additional charge. Popsicles? Money. Small event outside the classroom? Money. The price of this tuition is insane, I shouldnt have to pay extra for every single thing. The arts and crafts my child does is on simple construction paper and they use washable markers. Nothing is extravagant to a point that it warrants such a price. When I first registered my child, I was told there would be 3-4 teachers per class. Theres typically 1-2. Its overwhelming for the teachers and other parents walking in seeing the chaos. Not only that, what quality care/education are they receiving with such ratios? The kids get sick pretty frequently and it makes me question If this place is being as clean as they claim they are. I paid a full tuition and my child was out of daycare that entire month because she fell ill. When she returned, she got sick again and then there was a break out of hand foot and mouth. Its exhausting. The only reason my child is still there is because the convenience of drop off being close to my husband's job. There are a select few good teachers that have made my childs experience a good one, as well. They have a great security system and the staff seem friendly, but I just believe the cost of tuition for what you get isnt adding up.
We absolutely love Lightbridge Academy of South Brunswick. The teachers and staff are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children’s growth and well-being. The communication with parents is excellent, and we appreciate the daily updates and photos that keep us connected to our child’s day. The facility is clean, safe, and welcoming, and the curriculum provides a great balance of learning, creativity, and social development. Most importantly, our child is happy, excited to attend, and has shown tremendous growth since joining the program. We highly recommend Lightbridge Academy to other families.
Small classes, attentive teachers, facility has a great set up with big rooms and private outdoor space
All the team members use professionalism and are well dedicated to help both the kids and family members.Especially Ms Carol and Ms Marie ❤️💐.God bless all the team members I really appreciate all that you do for my Son.
Teachers and admin staff are wonderful! I've sent both my kids there for preschool and they've not only gained a ton of knowledge but were also able to work on their social skills. I feel that they've both had an excellent start with their educational careers.
I love that my child is advancing quickly and learning core fundamental idea that keep him ahead for his age!
Professional and friendly. A place that I can trust and put me at ease while at work. Long hours and flat rate provides great flexibility. Also in the network of my empolyer's backup care program.
They are always very thorough with sharing with the families what they are working on and very friendly!
I like the whole general environment of the school as well as the teachers for my child. The teachers seem to really care about mitral oils as well as keeping up-to-date on their progress.
That there is little turn over. We stay because we are happy with the facility and very happy with the lead teachers. There can be turnover in any position, but consistency is very important for these kids. I hope this facility does everything possible to take care of the teachers and assistants and staff.
The overall center and classroom settings. Mandy, Shawn and Garnia are super cooperative. They are available all the time and we can discuss anything. The teachers are helpful and love the kids.
The facility is very smoothly run. The children have consistently engaging activities that enable learning but also excitement. The pricing is reasonable and the center is extremely supportive of our son’s allergy. We are lucky to have found Lightbridge!
administration lacks professionalism, accountability and basic respect. I have been threatened with my child in my arms by Lauren Brownmiller to not have my daughter continue when I followed up on follow through in writing regarding previously addressed care issues that needed additional follow up. My emails regarding concerns are often ignored completely. Lindsay was so rude to me the last time i went into the office when I asked for a response to my email and the new administrative staff asked if she could help me and Lindsay told her not to. Lindsay gave me a threatening statement about how I would receive a call from one of the administrators who also received the same email they all ignored. I never got any calls or reapinses whatsoever. The new administrative staff person was very friendly towards me until this day and so it seems Lindsay continued to instruct her regarding how to treat me, now she is rude as well and followed me in the classroom at pickup monitoring me as I spoke to my child’s teacher about the potty training as there has been push back to follow the 30 minute schedule implemented and never once followed, my child is still progressin but this would obviously help and the frequency was suggested initially by Lauren Brownmiller but when I confront her she tells me the next classroom my child goes into is actually the potty training room and they will do 2 hour potty trips and that’s it. She is always trying to push me out and show me she doesn’t want to deal with me. when i’ve advocated for my child and shown an example of the teacher retaliating she said she feels that I am retaliating by advocating for my child…I am a single parent and had to provide the restraining order for my child’s father as it shows the custody order and I have been discriminated against from the moment this was known. There is no professionalism, when I have mentioned my concerns such as feeling retaliation with an incident for the teacher where she was observed on camera wiping my daughters face that was covered in a very irritated rash from days of her running nose not being properly cleaned… this day there was a whole plan established lauren nolan supposedly spoke to Ms. Janae and instead of using sensitive skin baby wipes or anything in the plan she was observed using a rough paper towel where the skin breakdown was present and i was told she was used to doing this so often it was muscle memory that’s how it accidentally occurred …. there were no apologies only excuses. This felt like very apparent retaliation and in this instance and others I don’t know what to do. Honestly my child is thriving in many ways at this school, I am so happy with so much but the administration doesn’t enforce the teachers to follow what they put in place they just give excuses and use obvious techniques to manage me which makes me so uncomfortable. How can I get professional treatment where the people running the school would never say bye just to my child in arms while ignoring me completely? I am waiting to hear back from corporate, i don’t know if an official complaint needs to be filed? I just want professionalism and to be able to get responses like any parent! Descrimination is not acceptable, I deserve the same respect as any mother or father of a child at this school.
Ms marissa ms danielle every teacher
It shows that the teachers and staff truly care about each child.
Have some concerns about children with food allergies as they are not watched very well and kids end up taking food from others plates.
Amazing teachers and administrators! We love Lightbridge Academy of plano
Very nice and easy way to make the kids feel better when they’re older
The center is clean, teachers are personable, directors are great to work with and the curriculum is engaging for my kiddo.
Great teachers and staff. They really love our daughter and are invested in her wellbeing. She loves going to day care and playing with her friends. They have awesome playgrounds too!
We’ve noticed a significant amount of new staff recently, and many of the teachers caring for our children seem to be new. While we understand that staffing changes are sometimes unavoidable, the frequent changes have been difficult for both children and parents.
Consistency is especially important for young children, as it helps them build trust, feel secure, and develop strong connections with their caregivers. When teachers change frequently, it can be confusing and unsettling for the children. It can also be challenging for parents when we arrive for drop-off or pick-up and are unfamiliar with the staff members caring for our children. We don’t even know their names- which is important if they are with our kids all day carrying for them…
Whenever possible, it would be wonderful if children could have a consistent group of 1–2 primary teachers so they can build meaningful relationships and feel comfortable with familiar faces each day.
We would also appreciate better communication regarding staffing changes. Even a brief notification letting families know that a regular teacher is out and who will be filling in for the day would provide reassurance and help parents feel more informed.
We understand that staffing needs can fluctuate, but the amount of recent change has been frustrating. We hope efforts can be made to provide greater consistency for the children and more proactive communication with families when changes occur.
Staff are caring, kind, safe. Atmosphere and environment is intentional. Love that curriculum is done already so staff don’t have to spend time away from the kids to plan, which allows for the primary staff to stay with their class. Appreciate the amount of communication as well as willingness to problem solve.
Pretty much everything!
Well-structured and supportive educational environment that promotes both academic achievement and personal growth.
Thank you for everything that you do for our kids.
My son has been attending Lightbridge Academy since he was three months old, and he is now four years old and enrolled in their Pre-K program. Over the years, we have had an excellent experience with the school.
Lightbridge Academy truly prioritizes both the safety and education of the children in their care. The staff is consistently welcoming, professional, and supportive, while the teachers go above and beyond to support both the children and their parents.
It has given me great peace of mind knowing my son is in such a caring and nurturing environment every day. I often wish the school extended through 12th grade because of the trust and confidence I have in their program and staff

Love everything about Lightbridge. My son loves going.
