Staff are very helpful
We attended a wave session which was well run and enjoyable. Only negatives were receptionist was not very welcoming and miserable and cafe seemed out of stock of almost everything. L
I love the water wellness/workout classes they are doing me good.
It's a good clean environment. with friendly helpful staff on hand .The Gym equipment is of a good standard and there appears to be plenty of classes available if required.All the other changing facilities are fine.. What I don't like is recently I have seen a number of people jumping the barriers and obviously not paying.
There also seems to be an upturn of migrants attending who I assume or on free passes which also seems unfair. This when you consider pensioners have to pay a full fee.No wonder prices are having to go up.
Very friendly none intimidating gym.
I also do a few of the classes there and really enjoy both the content and the social interactions.
It has everything in 1 place gym, swim and spa plus classes The staff are very friendly . Free carpark.
great classes and variety offered across Tameside , at a great price! The place is not clicky and is very welcoming (i mainly go to Copley)
I was at an outdoor boot camp beforehand that was 5 pound dearer a month and it didn't offer half as much as what Active does.
I have done 2 yoga classes this week in the downstairs studio it was lovely and quiet compared to the studio next to the gym,with weights being dropped !! Would it be possible to use this studio in future ?
Friendly and approachable
The peaple are helpfull and clean cafe.
Tameside wellness centre is always immaculately clean. All staff professional, approachable and friendly.
Clean safe environment. Friendly helpful staff. Class teachers are experienced, on time and fun. Pool area always clean and hygienic.

Nice temperature in the pool.
Decent seating area for refreshments after aqua aerobics, although it is hit & miss as to whether the hot drinks machine works or not.
Downside - number of lockers that do not have keys.
Lack of changing facilities & having to stand about cold & wet to wait for a cubicle, especially on a Tuesday lunchtime due to the communal changing room being locked. I understand that there is a children’s swimming lesson in afterwards but if that room was open then all women could be dressed & out of the changing area before the children arrive rather than still be standing around in swimming costumes.
Temperature in the showers could be turned down 1 or 2 degrees.

The staff helpful and friendly and really clean
I only use the pool.The changing facilities are good and are always clean and tidy.
There is an overall welcoming atmosphere.
My son enjoys the gym and swimming however when he went to the restaurant to get some lunch and a drink was told that they would not serve him because he is a teenager. Very disappointing. I pay a monthly fee for my son to be a member of the gym and to be discriminated against because of his age is unacceptable.
I have discussed this with the manager and hope that we do not find ourselves in this position again. My son should be able to use all the facilities at active Copley including being able to buy refreshments.

Friendly staff
It's a friendly class but all Staff at Medlock are so friendly, helpful and welcome you with a smile. As a long term sufferer of social anxiety this place is like a second home to me. I know once I walk through the doors at Medlock I am in my safe place

Need more availability for more classes on the timetable for popular classes. Need more aqua aerobics availability at copley and Medlock
It all looks good, the gym, the swimming pool and the outdoors terrace.
Great low level exercise class with Lianne, really enjoyed the meet and greet over a tea or coffee first. Lianne the the instructor was brilliant, friendly and professional, made the class fun with the added dance section.
I think the price per month is very good. The facilities are generally very good. The staff pleasant.
