I have spent years, possibly decades dreaming of playing the keyboard. I don't know what took me so long to try. Afraid to fail, I guess? After around three months here, I am progressing to the point where I can play entire songs fairly confidently, and keep adding more to my practice repertoire almost every week. This is all while maintaining an extremely busy work and family schedule with limited time to practice at home. SOR's program has been helping me make the best of my situation and find the time to progress at my natural pace. I would vastly prefer this real world practice-to-perform setting, using real songs that everyone knows and loves, to a more remedial program. My seven year old loves it here too. Highly recommended for kids and adults!
I love the method of learning to actual rock songs and the band environment. It makes it so much more fun and I think she has stuck with it because of that. It is also so fun to hear her play songs that I love - she gets a kick out of playing for us and we know the words to the song. The online app is also also. It gets her to practice without us asking her too and is great that she can slow things down to practice and gain confidence before recording.

My son is so happy that he gets the chance to both practice privately with a teacher but also practice with peers. He really loves the rock aspect rather than just general music appreciation.
Playing with other musicians is the best way to learn music. I like the structure of the program, and the inclusive nature. The place always feels like a comfortable hang for the kids.

Only issue is scheduling - there can be some lack of flexibility that is hard with vacations, etc.
My daughter enjoyed the summer camps and is now really enjoying the performance program. The teachers are awesome. They give great support and feedback and my daughter has grown so much as a musician. I love the fact that the students learn so many different songs and get to perform with bands for an audience.
We love everything about School of Rock! Especially the Teachers!!! My daughter has been going to School of Rock for over 2 years. She is always so happy and excited to be there and they make everyone feel like family.

The people and the atmosphere are what makes the experience so great. Everyone I meet there is so kind and passionate about music. Drew on front desk is fantastic with the kids, supportive and really sets the mood. Stephen our teacher again is very kind, supportive and extremely knowledgeable. Eliza and Stuart love band with Chad too, I’m amazed at how much he and Stephen can teach them in a single session.
The teachers are kind, they listen to my kids and try to teach them based on interest rather than forcing them to learn what they do not enjoy. My kids really like their teachers and look forward to lessons. They are both also progressing in their skills nicely.
