I love that the classes are short and fun. Just enough to keep you wanting to come back. I also love the instructors. My usual instructor, Clint, is great. He is very knowledgeable and likes to just dive in to playing songs, which I love. But I also love the subs because they have different ways of teaching and they go over the basics like rudiments and form. Putting all the techniques together I feel like I have a well-rounded education in drumming!

Is always a good vibe in there, either we're talking about 1 on 1 lessons or the adult program reharsals. The coaches know what they're doing and they are all cool people. I'm always having a good time when i am there and i feel I'm making progress with every lesson

I like how they teach kids to play to the rock songs and the teachers are great with them and the kids get to meet other kids that have same interests.

The teaching staff is amazing - Ava, Jessie, Alex, Johnnie, Mikiah - and the band rehearsals combined with private lessons is such a great way to really learn how to play with other musicians. Kevin is great leading the team - he made us (and all the new families who call in or come in) feel so welcome even though I know he speaks to so many families all day, he is always patient and helpful.
We think Travis is a fantastic instructor. We appreciate that he not only teaches our son songs spanning different genres, but he instructs our son on music theory and composition. He’s also cool and relatable. We’re super happy with our experience at School of Rock and have referred several friends who enrolled their kids with Travis too.

The private lessons are super productive and both of my kids feel a good connection with their teachers. Rock 101 is an awesome way for them all to build their skills within the band set up. Everyone I've spoken to at the Venice location is fantastic.

Jonathon provides lessons that have significantly improved my son Jackson's drumming skills. Jonathon's skill, professionalism, and friendly nature make the lessons enjoyable and productive. His ability to convey complex concepts in a way that is understandable and his encouragement have boosted Jackson's confidence. Moreover, he exposes Jackson to different drumming styles. Jackson eagerly awaits each lesson, and we highly recommend this teacher to others.
My son is autisitic and started with School of Rock years ago. He is a talented musician, and connects through music more than conversation. He picks up on concepts, but can't describe them, so it takes some adaptation on the part of the instructors to work with him. He has grown and matured as a performer and a person, through the kindness and commitment of the staff. Now he can step into any musical setting and hold his own, and has recently started to sing, in addition to keys - having the confidence to take the stage and front the band. We have done 6 shows with SOR Burbank, and will be moving to Portland, OR, where we look forward to joining that SOR family.
You guys are great with our 3 year old he looks forward to class every week . And Drama is amazing
