Customer Testimonials
My son loves it and can’t wait for class each week.
We love the quality of teaching, and the inviting collaborative nature - my son also loves the opportunity to participate in the group performances. He’s been more confident in his abilities on guitar and has improved so much in a year. He is even auditioning for the house band. We definitely recommend SoR to others. All the employees are friendly and encouraging and go out of their way to help with rescheduling or parent questions etc.
Such an inclusive, community vibe. Makes learning fun. My kids look forward to their lessons every week, and they’re learning so fast! We love School of Rock!
Instructor Seth and private lessons
My son loves school of Rock. Very happy with Ryan his bass instructor/teacher. The elmhurst facility is a well ran music machine. Can’t be happier with Colin and the whole SOR crew. 🎤🥁🎸
My son loves the program. He enjoys playing and learning music. Thanks to School of Rock!
My grandson really loves going to his Rookie group! He says it is his favorite time of the week. School of Rock makes learning to play instruments fun!

We love everything! Our son is in Little Wings and he has so much fun every week.
Hi. My kids, now in 10th and 12th grades, have been involved in School of Rock since 2nd and 4th grades. They have grown in confidence, in musicianship, and musical ability in that time. One of the things we love about School of Rock is that is builds a sense of community amongst the students in a performance group through a non-judgemental collaborative rehearsals. I',m not sure if because there are a lot of newer students or many students who haven't gone through the Rock 101 programs first or because of a lot of instructor turn-over, but lately we feel like some of that sense of community and collaboration has been missing. Kids are not always as kind to each other and some kids feel free to criticize each other openly. This is definitely new. There used to be a code of conduct of sorts that was reviewed with kids regularly. Maybe it's time to bring that back so that the awesome vibe of encouragement and community can once again be fostered throughout the programs.
Little Wing
I like how the 1:1 lesson is tailored to my child.
My kids really enjoy the instructors and being in a band with other kids. They are making progress with their instruments and having fun

Eveyonr is very engaging and the music experience is amazing!
Love that kids are able to explore all types of rock music and rock out in an actual venue! Great experience for them! I only wish the gigs lasted longer!
The instructors are TOP NOTCH! So involved and absolutely care about what they are doing!
The programs are SO great! My daughter has absolutely flourished with this program!
I have and will continue to preach from every mountain top how GREAT SOR is!!
Thank you!!
My son is very energized about playing guitar thanks to SOR. He has made so much progress in his technical ability, and loves rehearsing and playing with other students in the live performances.
Just one piece of feedback - it would be great if more "well-known" songs could be chosen for the performances. The songs selected are often quite obscure. Although my son says he's fine playing them, he also says he would like it even better if the songs were better known. It would also be better for audience engagement during the shows. I maybe know half of the songs that the bands play, and I consider myself pretty plugged in to the music scene!
Keep up the great work! It's always amazing to me how the concerts come together. Lots of hard work that always pays off!
you make learning how to play fun and give the kids a real band experience!
Song choices and instructors.
This program is right up my son’s alley as he loves music and how interactive Rookies is. My only wish for the program is that there could be more for Rookies to do together beyond one weekly class. Not sure about the other kids but this is the one extracurricular activity my son enjoys and he is not into sports. It would be nice for him to be able to interact more with kids from his class with this shared interest!
The atmosphere is very encouraging and friendly. I like how the instructors adapt to my particular needs and take the time to coach me through the basics while explaining why and how what they are teaching fit into the larger picture. In this program, I am confident that I am not just learning how to memorize songs; I am learning the art of the instrument itself which is very important to me.
I love that my child is learning to play the drums using music he's actually interested in and excited about. He's had a great experience with all of the instructors, and feels supported and encouraged.
Music selection.
Adam Krier’s amazing instruction and dedication
Great thorough instruction by great teachers who care about these kids. They really create an awesome atmosphere.
School of Rock is an amazing opportunity for kids to learn to play and perform music! The teachers are excellent and make it fun and challenging. In addition to learning music, the kids learn how to play with other musicians, supporting one another and coming together as a band to perform in front of a live audience in different venues. We (and our 3 kids) love School of Rock!
The method for how to teach kids is great and my daughter is really getting a lot out of the class! She is excited to go and shares what she worked on!
Teachers build strong relationships with students. Classes are well structured and age-appropriate. Classes have a good mix of introducing relevant concepts with "play." We love the onset selections.
