My 10-year-old son loved his School of Rock camp! The instructors were very encouraging when it came to trying new things- although he signed up for guitar got to sing a song too! That was great as he isn't always sure of himself when it comes to new things (who is?!) and after the performance he was so proud of himself!
This was our 3rd year doing a summer camp at School of Rock and he's already talking about next year!
I loved the camp, and the idea! It is a lot of fun for the kids and parents! The concert was really nice, kids did a great job performing and it was definitely a fun afternoon!
However, camp timing gave me a very hard time! 10:00am to 2:00pm turned out to be more inconvenient than I imagined! It would be great for parents who don't work?! When you have a full-time job, it's not easy at all. I am pretty flexible at work but there was a lot more logistics I had to put into it than I planned for.
At any case, I'd like to thank everyone who organized this camp! I want to thank Tommy, Naperville camp instructor, he did a great job with the kids and my son definitely enjoyed time he spent in the camp!

Not only does the music there ROCK… all of the staff members so too!!!!!!! So kind, friendly, supportive, professional and all so talented and wanting to share their immense talent!!!!!!! I wish I had started my 14 year old son years ago! He loves it! Great group of kids AND teachers!
My kids have been at SOR Naperville for several years now.
Both have different personalities (extravert vs introvert) and the SOR Naperville team and instructors are absolutely AMAZING with both of them.
Instructors are experienced in different learning styles and truly get to know all of the students personally and are invested in their growth and development.
They know how to engage and challenge the students in a fun way.
My daughter would be there every day if she could and my son (the more introverted one) started off slowly but now cannot wait to try new things (the camps are GREAT for this) and comes out of every single lesson (group and private) stating that it was "EPIC"
The other kids are helpful and encouraging - they never hesitate to cheer each other or comfort each other when someone may not be feeling 100% about their performance.
I know this is long, but I have to also share this as I feel it is important.
SOR Naperville is a positive place for our kids. From the manager, office staff, incredibly dedicated and talented instructors to the other families and fellow students. They make everyone feel welcome and safe to be themselves.
Not every kid is a sports kid and at regular school, the arts are not always as embraced. Here, they want to see the kid’s creativity, hear their ideas, collaborate and embrace each other’s unique style.
I would recommend SOR Naperville without hesitation to any family considering enrolling and am grateful my kids are part of this community.
Great program for children socialization. The kid's performance was amazing. The price is high, but it's worth it because they will take those skills for their entire life. My son was in another school in which he was not learning, but at School of Rock, he learned a song in a single day, and he still remembers it.
My grandson takes a class there and likes it very much. I like that they had a group concert for the families so we could see what the students are learning. The tuition is reasonable for what they learn
It is a wonderful positive environment. The kids aren’t just learning to play instruments they are learning to read and write music . SOR also helped my child ace music class at school in every category.

Every Tuesday our child is so excited to go to his class, and when he leaves class he is always very excited to tell us about what they did.
The School of Rock programs do a wonderful job of teaching kids how to play music while also teaching them about being part of a team. The benefits of teaching music in a group/band setting go far beyond just learning music. It provides kids with a community of other like minded individuals to learn and be creative with, increasing the engagement and building relationships among peers. The teamwork and group work skills learned in these programs will prove to be incredibly beneficial to the students for the rest of their lives, whether it is in the music or business world.
Well organized, kids have a lot of fun and learn how to play various instruments and sing as well. Highly recommended!
Great vibe with a complete crew of awesome teachers. The spring season was full of fun and great music topping it off with a spectacular show case of everything they had learned at the Chop Shop. Bravo School of Rock!
I feel like the teachers and environment are extremely positive and encouraging.
I'm in the adult program. Instructors/staff are great. They do a great job of teaching us how to play and how to play together as a group.
We are so happy with SOR Naperville. We love all of the teachers and how they keep it positive. There is no pushing or shaming for not practicing or doing well. Our goal at this age is to keep him interested and not discouraged and to keep his creativity. I am also so impressed with the flexibility in lessons to add on or broaden musical interests. Our son loves to create making movies scripts, stories, etc. The teachers take extra time to keep this an interest and help him with these and apply music to them. We are so happy we found this place!
Not only is my son learning to play drums, he's come out of his shell, it's teaching him to be more confident in himself.
