My son is loving the music he gets to play and the fact that he gets to be a part of a band. I see a genuine joy in him that I haven’t seen before as his instructor helps him develop a new passion for learning an instrument and music in general. He has made great progress in a short amount of time.
I’ve reviewed both Naperville and Hinsdale before and my opinion has not swayed. I still give them 10/10. They’re so nice and flexible with scheduling and with make up classes. My son loves the school and has gone through rookies, private classes and will be starting rock 101 next week. I love that rookies gives the kids freedom to try out different instruments without locking them in to one instrument right away. My son started on piano, went to drums, and is currently on guitar and wants to try bass. School of rock is the perfect place to explore not only different types of music but also different instruments.

Only reason its not a 10 rating is because its a higher cost choice for music learning but that doesn't mean its not worth every penny.
The one-on-one instruction is extremely beneficial. It creates a safe place to learn and make mistakes in the process. The performance group has been a great experience for my son, and he thoroughly enjoys having the chance to play as a rock group. There are very well-rounded opportunities to evolve at School of Rock!

The programs at the SOR in Naperville are awesome. The music teachers and staff are amazing. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of the programs. That's why we have been with the SOR for almost two years. My daughter loves the staff and her teachers. Great environment to learn any instrument.
It’s been a very positive experience for my son to not only begin learning his first instrument but to also be learning how to work with other musicians in a band. The growth has been amazing. The app is fun for him to work on during practice at home.
Rachel is always willing to adapt to my daughter’s interests. They seem to make it interesting and fun. The notes after lessons are much appreciated. I enjoy getting them!

My kids loves coming to class. Jordan's enthusiasm is contagious. In addition to the fun songs on the curriculum, she does an amazing job teaching my daughter how to figure out how to play song requests. Now my kid feels confident to try figuring out songs on her own as well. The group classes seal the deal; she's making friends while making music. I love the theory based approach, and the app makes it really easy for the whole family to figure out songs and play together at home too. This place rocks!
Positive student oriented experience.
We also attend another SOR. Naperville is much better run. I love the way the show sign ups are handled. The shows run smoothly and are on time. All while making it fun for the kids.
The staff are so responsive and compassionate. especially when it comes to rescheduling because of Maxime’s medical appointments. And the teachers are so nice!
My son’s instructor is so great about offering recognition and encouragement! I really appreciate his detailed lesson notes after each class. My son LOVES his individual lesson and jamming with a band!
