First of all, it's the instructors that make it the amazing experience that it is They are all brilliant people, each in their own special way. It's a friendly, welcoming, and encouraging environment, a true safe-house where music is the topic of the day. And in the end result, they turn our most far-reaching dreams into reality by being in a band and performing live music.

I love that the seasonal bands are for all levels so my son can be challenged and learn at his pace. There are opportunities to learn new music and play actual gigs at the end of a season, which is good experience that cured my son’s performance anxiety in high school. The staff is super great with the kids! They totally get this age group and interact with and manage them well. The kids are really good kids who work as a team. Being in a band has been a great way for my son to learn and grow as a person. He improves musical skills as well as other life lessons like what it means to not want to let your band members down, how to make mistakes and move forward, and how to be supportive to others.
The leadership at Bedford SoR, Todd Springer and Ben Malmed has been and continues to be outstanding in regards to communication, availability and safety for all at the SoR. The other staff members are just as exemplary.
Students are treated and taught to respect one another and to be free to express their creativity without recourse.

I was very grateful about how flexible Lou was regarding scheduling. My schedule was erratic and SOR was very accommodating. Plus I'm glad to have had the app in addition to the workbook.

The instructors and directors at School of Rock foster an environment of respect, fun and learning. Of course our children are learning to be musicians but they're also learning to be students and mentors.
In addition to teaching music, SOR programs teach performance and stagecraft. When it comes time for the end of season shows, the students play like rock stars!
It's fun, low pressure, supporting based on individual strengths and weaknesses and just bringing love for good music to kids.
This is a wonderful and supportive school filled with passionate teachers and administrators. They have also shown great kindness to our family through what has been a challenging year. Our kids feel SoR is a second home.

My son has developed so much confidence. He started with electric guitar and has been given the opportunity to play bass and even sing! It’s hard to get him interested in anything but his electronics but when it comes to school of rock - he’s totally engaged. Love it!!
