A great local facility, very well utilised by local people. Swim slide and waves was full of people enjoying themselves when I arrived.
I went to Cathyann’s Pilates followed by dance fit. Loved it. Very clear instruction in Pilates at a level to suit everyone. I felt so much better after it.

The only criticism I would have is the gym gets busy and not always enough equipment. Need more running machines

too many dance classes in the mornings, body pump could be incorporated on one of those days there are people who want more active classes and not everyone likes to go out at night. Ashton is a very popular venue but badly needs updating. e.g. hairdryers always breaking down, air con not working lots of other issues also. The staff all work extremely hard and are extremely friendly.
Active Hyde is a great facility. Always a warm welcome from the reception staff, the gym supervisors and the cleaner (who works so hard and meticulously). The gym supervisors are also very helpful and encouraging. The facilities are brilliant and on the whole, most of the members are very friendly and considerate. Denton and iTrain are also excellent facilities.
Some problems can occur in the gym and changing rooms late afternoon and early evening (particularly in term times), so I try and avoid these times. I would travel to iTrain which feels safer, rather than attend Hyde or Denton at these times. Groups of young people can dominate the gym and the changing rooms. Many of the young people are very pleasant, mix well and train properly. Others engage in antisocial behaviour and this can be intimidating. The changing rooms do not always feel safe or lockers secure at these times.
Similar problems occur at the Wellness Centre in Denton. I suspect many of these young people may not be members. At the Wellness Centre, young people often tailgate members into the gym or ask members to provide them access. Commonly wearing their trademark black hoodies, this can be intimidating. At Denton, the changing areas are not within an access controlled areas which increases risk to customers and their belongings.
Your staff are brilliant and try their hardest, but without a quick and visual way of identifying legitimate members it must be a very difficult and potentially dangerous problem for them to deal with.
Please read this note as constructive feedback. I think Active Tameside is doing a superb job, but I do think that there are some child, customer and staff protection issues that need to be addressed in order to make the centres even better. Antisocial behaviour is a fact of life now. Anything that can be done to minimise its impact on your customers, staff and assets should be considered.
Most customers have their phones with them whilst they train. Would it be possible to consider adding quick access membership card (possibly with a photo) to the app, so that your staff can quickly verify valid memberships and so that people who do not follow the rules could be excluded?
Also at Hyde, would it be possible to provide some lockers in the corridor or gym area, so that the changing rooms can be avoided at time when they do not feel safe?
I appreciate that such improvements would require investment, but costs are likely to be mitigated by reduced damage to facilities and increased membership retention.

Toilets near the pool need more visits as there was toilet tissues all over the floor at 9.15 am other then that's its seems well maintained
Danny Laurelle Danielle Harley and Joe have been absolutely fabulous in accommodating our son! They have been amazing. My son First name removed has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the club during the summer hols! He couldn't wait to attend and see Harley and Joe!....amazing staff, exceptional set up, plenty of dun activities for my boy to keep entertained and busy! Staff are super friendly, always smiles in the mornings and during pick up! We can't wait to use the service again during summer! Thanks to everyone for supporting us and especially our Boy. Keep up the great work and hopefully see you all soon.

Friendliness of the staff
My 8 year old son really enjoyed the gymnastic camps run in the school holidays.
My 3 year old enjoys mini tumblers (so do I 😁). It is fun, educational and a great way to exercise. The staff are friendly, caring and enthusiastic. They put a lot of effort in to each session. That is really appreciated. Thank you

The staff are friendly helpful & seem happy in work
I enjoy the Park Walks. Very friendly groups and I manage to get to 3 days. Hopefully 4 in the future. The gyms are also great ways to keep fit. Most of my Family are also members.
