Fun, mixed ages, organized
Honestly, I like everything. From the minute I walked in I felt welcome. The staff and instructors are all extremely friendly and supportive. For the first time ever I feel like I'm gaining the skill and confidence to play out in front of crowds. This place is the best thing that's ever happened to my musical journey.
Eric was awesome-super motivating and fun! Everyone was really easy going and rescheduling was quick and easy.
Playing with the performance group has been amazing for my daughter. She is still relatively new to playing but making “the band” was hugely motivating to her - although scary at first.
She absolutely loves going to band practice and her private lesson. Her self confidence has improved and so has her taste in music (I kid, I kid!).
Knowledgeable instructors with real-world band experience teach students of all abilities how to play instruments, and about the many nuances of being in a rock band. Each session concludes with a gig in a real venue, which is huge because booking venues often isn’t easy for bands. I’ve made great friends through the Grad program and I continue because there’s always something to learn…and I’d miss my band posse too much if I left. Some people get country club memberships or season’s tickets for sports teams; I like my rock band membership.
My daughter absolutely loves School Of Rock. Her keyboard teacher Russ is the best. To her it feels like family and she will tell anybody that School Of Rock has changed her life and put her on a trajectory she had never imagined.

I like that they are oriented around performing live. I like the instructors, who are all extremely talented, accommodating, and patient. I have been taking lessons for a little more than 2yrs and it's exceeded my expectation especially in regards to performing live. I don't think I would have progressed as much as I have playing the drums going the traditional route. I am playing my first show as a drummer a week from now. I have only been playing for a little more than 2 years. I have found that the programs, rehearsals,etc. give an experience that is pretty close to being in a real cover band.
My daughter has built so much confidence both as a performer as well as a person. Chris and his staff are outstanding people who truly care about their students. Very happy to be a part of tne Strongsvjlle SOR family
Ayana is great! I sat in on two Grad Schools and Joe does a excellent job and the students seem like they are having a awesome time and many sited that their favorite time of the week is attending SOR.
I feel like I got so lucky, with my instructor James! He has patience and wisdom beyond his years. First off after my first lesson I played a song and felt like a rock star, which is funny because it was just me hitting the base pedal. Yet it gave me the confidence to continue. I am well into my 50’s and had a desire my entire life to play the drums, have always been a fan. How the school pairs music with the lessons is huge it gives students the initiative to practice the basic skills and to see the progress every week. Incredibly fun and therapeutic. Chris at the front desk is always smiling greeting everyone walking through the door, this was very comforting especially my first day walking in-almost didn’t. But wow I am so happy I did!!
Program builds confidence. Staff is caring and goes that extra mile to be sure kids are feeling successful. A welcoming place for everyone.
The staff and teachers are amazing and work with each as they are. Building them up as people while teaching them music.

What a fantastic experience! Sylvia and Sophia raved every time they got in the car about the day.
The camp was fun, fast paced and very democratic.
Every time a discussion came up about a certain song or part in the song they took a vote. Giving everyone a voice. Griffin and Ayana were amazing.
The performance at the end of the camp was so awesome! We can’t wait to do it again!

My son enjoyed the week long instruction, he learned a lot. He enjoyed being able to hear what he plays all together with all the instruments.
The teachers and staff are all dedicated to giving the students the confidence and skills to help them reach their goals. The lessons the students learn from the teachers and staff will last a lifetime.
