Customer Testimonials
I like how you combine lessons with band performances. I like how we get a feedback after each lesson via email from the teacher. I like how friendly, receptive to our needs and flexible the staff is. I like how student’s interests are taken into consideration in choosing his repertoire. And my son’s teacher, Julian, is absolutely awesome. Overall, the best music school my son has ever gone to.
We just started with SoR; but we are HIGHLY impressed with their program. It was the best "next step" in our son's guitar journey and we couldn't be more excited. We would definitely recommend SoR in Strongsville to anyone looking to further their musical talents.
The structure is perfect for learning how to perform in a real band. The musicians are top notch and the venues are perfect for performing.
The instructors are great and enable students to be challenged and grow in learning and performing songs in front of an audience.
Warm, encouraging excellent lessons
I love the encouragement given to the kids. It helps with stretching their abilities and confidence. The performances are awesome and fun to watch and show support. The instructors and band director are great with the kids; pushing them to get better while accepting mistakes.
Our son has tapped into a passion for music. We love seeing him grow both his talent and confidence.
The entire staff is friendly, professional and outgoing. They have a passion for music, and want to ignite and share that passion with others. I can't say enough good things about Chris Buhovecky, Julian Goldthwaite, and Donald Pelc.
The best way to verify the power of School of Rock in Highland Heights is to highlight what my son has been able to accomplish sice he began 7 years ago. His musical world has opened up because of the School of Rock Performance Program. He first started with guitar lessons, then bass, then vocal lessons. The Program gives kids the confidence to play at legit musical venues like The Grog Shop and The Beachland Ballroom. He formed a band with two other musicians who met during one of a Cream Performance Program. His band, PsychoFuzz, competed in the High School Rock Off at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and placed third among a very competitive field. They recorded in studio when my son was only 13. PsychoFuzz has recorded two EPs and have started recording a full album.
The School of Rock method of teaching is brilliant. They find what music the student likes and then build outward from there. This method fuels their passion for music rather than squelching it with dogmatic music theory. Music theory is taught here but through songs that connect with the students first.
I wish they had this school when I was a teen. I can't thank them school enough for how they helped shape my son's musical pursuits.
How friendly everyone is.. professional. It's a lot of fun
In a years time that I've given myself to accomplish goals, I have become a well rounded percussionist. I am able to play a wide range of music with other people in the school and out side as well with confidence . My daughter loves to play music with the friends she has made at the School of Rock. She not planning to be a rock star however she is thoroughly enjoying this creative outlet. The skills she has learned here will cary her thru all aspects of her life.
I love how invested and open the teachers are, the ability to preform live on real stages is completely amazing, and the culture is very supportive.
We love everything about SOR! Will has learned so much in the short time he has been there…incredible way to teach music!!
Wonderful instructors, awesome program.
The school of rock is well organized, thoughtfully run, and the instructors have so much enthusiasm to share with the students. It is a welcoming environment where kids can be themselves and also grow and be challenged.
SoR has been amazing for my son. He took guitar lessons for over a year. Then they encouraged us to participate in the shows they have. My son was resistant but did it and it was an amazing experience. I have watched my son grow socially and musically. His confidence also increased. I highly recommend SoR.
Our grandson looks forward to his School of Rock classes each week and actually said he would like to go every day!!
It let's me connect with other teen musicians and rock out
The instructors are fantastic and do a great job, not only inspiring my son to practice but also to develop his own style and musicianship. I like how the program options change each semester and offer content that might not typically appeal to my teenager. I also enjoy seeing him grow as a performer in a stage setting, as opposed to just musically (which is almost always his primary motivation). I genuinely feel like he has found his people at SoR.
Super impressed with what all the kids accomplished in one week of camp. My son said it was the best camp he attended all summer and he can't wait for more School of Rock in the future!
The selection of real rock songs, the fun teachers, the performances.
I love the sense of community and how everyone cheers each other on. I also like the challenge as we are pushed to do more than we think we can but in the end that's what we need! Also Chris the manager is the best! He truly cares about everyone there.
The teachers and staff are just phenomenal. First class. I always tell people about School of Rock.
I like the fun people who I have met in the program, especially our awesome director, Pat, who makes practice an upbeat experience.
The level of skill training, the push to challenge the kids, the passion it all develops!
The teachers and staff are amazing!
great instructors!!
Love them, but f*%k are they expensive, but they are great.
I like that the programs are individualized for each child. While the curriculum is strong and the expectations are high the pace is set by the students. The teachers walk the fine line of being the cool rock star and yet 100% appropriate around kids of all ages.
My son has been a student of School of Rock for nearly 10 years and he is thriving. The school and the staff have increased his quality of life greatly and helped him grow as a musician and as a human.
Everything- she’s learned a new instrument, made friends, built confidence and looks forward to practice, lessons, and performances!
