Instructors are really engaging and patient. Also, the Liberty Station San Diego staff has been great during this year of Covid. Reminding my child or sessions if he forgets, being really proactive if something in the schedule needs to be moved around. No one went dark on us over the last year and I appreciate it.

My daughter has been attending School of Rock for almost 4 years. Never did we expect the progress we've seen in her, but most importantly the instructors and her band mates have truly enriched her love for playing and continuing to work on her music.
My teen loves her private bass lessons. It’s been almost 3 years! She’s so in to it, practicing almost every day. I’m impressed with the individualized customer service. I truly recommend SOR at Point Loma.

The thing we love the most is that the songs my daughter learns are for a purpose as she gets to sing them in the band, she loves being part of this school!

I love the community which includes all types of kids. Being different or weird is celebrated. I love teachers’ passion about music, the opportunity to learn and play music kids love, different styles, old and new, the teaching style and professionalism. I love the opportunity of concerts in the best venues (when Covid allows) so kids feel like real rock stars. Nowadays I truly appreciate in person classes as it’s a visible therapy for my teen’s Covid depression . I love the fact the School figured it out how to continue in person classes even in such hard conditions and restrictions. Because kids don’t have regular school, you give our kids hope and purpose. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to see a genuine glow of happiness and joy in my daughter’s face every time she returns from class. It’s priceless.

Exposure to different music and learning how to "be in a band"
My kids like that the teachers speak to them like peers. I like that it’s been one of the few fun activities left that they can still do. Great job adjusting to the safety requirements and keeping kids busy!
I like that the approach combines the traditional reading notes and also learning chords. My background was very traditional, read notes/practice scales/repetition. I tried teaching my daughter this way and it wasn't sticky.
The program is fun, engaging and educational. This is the best music program my kid has ever been in.
