The instruction that my son gets is first-rate. His private lesson instructor, Parker, is phenomenal. Matt comes out each lesson pretty enthused about guitar, and when he gets home he just pulls his Strat out and keeps playing.
The performance component has really helped his confidence, at SoR, but also at school and in life. You can't ask for more than that.
I think the School of Rock provides an alternative outlet for kids who don't necessarily play sports, have limited curricular activities, have limited social skills or spend too much time playing computer games. School of Rock is a structured learning environment, where they gain confidence, develop social skills and have a ton of fun... something they will always remember and carry forth as life skills!

Giving the kids a chance to perform is key. Also, the teachers and owner are wonderful!
Rookies is a great opportunity for young kids to try multiple options before committing to one instrument - very age appropriate, my son loves it!
