As my son passes his 1 year anniversary into the program, I'm even more impressed than when we started. School of Rock does a great job evolving with their student's skill levels and it's apparent they have a great handle on how to keep the challenge at just the right level. My son's motivation to learn and grow is higher than ever, he loves the selections offered in the program and with every passing show he gains more confidence in his abilities and awareness on how to get even better. As a parent, I've enjoyed watching him mature musically and collaborate with others. I can see he has a lot of respect for the staff, and he's not alone. So do I.

Where's the ranking for 11? Both of our boys take lessons and participate in the band rehearsals (which is the most fun and rewarding part!) and they absolutely love it. Such amazing, talented, and friendly people throughout School of Rock, from the young mentors to the instructors, to the administration. We will be at SOR for a long time!

Our child really loves School of Rock. The kids are an accepting bunch, the instructors are incredibly encouraging, and the staff genuinely seem to care about the kids. Given nearly any option, our kid would rather spend his time at School of Rock than pretty much anywhere else on the planet.

School of Rock is amazing. It will literally change your kid's life. The teachers and staff are incredibly kind and they really ROCK!
My rocker started his musical journey later than most kids. The instructors worked to quickly get him up to speed so he'd be performing and interacting with others his age. Now that he's decided this may be a career path, everyone at the school has pitched in to map out a plan to help him accomplish that goal. The owner, Stacey, even reached out to me personally to share her perspective as the mother of a son who went into the music business and she offered great advice on how I can be supportive of my son's efforts. I can't tell you how helpful that was and how grateful I am for all the support we've received. The environment at SOR is welcoming and inclusive and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Excellent instruction. Playing in a band of peers even as my son learns guitar is awesome - both for confidence building as well as for the social interaction. Good feedback at the end of every lesson. Adequate programs to provide exposure and motivation to constantly improve and get better.Best thing that happened to foster my son's musical interests was his starting guitar at SOR, Eden Prairie, MN. very friendly admin staff and management staff.

Instructors are awesome, Sean is great - always welcoming and friendly, LOVE that kids get to perform on stage at real venues. School of Rock has made a huge impact on my kids. It has helped boost their self-confidence and encouraged the development of a real passion that will be a part of their lives forever.

Suggestions: breaks outside
Explain to the kids the meaning and the text of songs. Tell them more about the bands or ask them to read about and bring facts the next day. Let them hear the original song so they can get inspired.

The fact that lessons are one on one not entirely in a group setting, which can be intimidating for new learners or those who don't catch on as quickly as their counterparts
Private lessons. Our child's teacher is excellent! We are too new to the program to know yet about the band work.

Where do we begin? Probably with the instructors, who are awesome! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! Same with everyone else who works there - they welcome us like family. Hours are flexible. The entire program, particularly incorporating the stage shows, is such a unique opportunity. We'll be staying with SOR for a long time!

We’ve only been going for a few weeks but my daughter loves her private lesson as well as her group band lesson. There is no fighting her to go! She is ready as soon as she hears it’s time to go.
Great instruction. Performance shows provide invaluable experience not just in performing live, but also in learning to “come together” as a band.
