The variety of performance opportunities
Fun and relevant music
I love how this program provides the kids with a band experience and opportunities to perform.
Fun, relaxed - no pressure to practice or buy insteuments.
Patient teachers & kids experience a wide variety of instruments.
Play recent hits not old stuff.
Everything! It's a fun and unique way for kids to learn about music and performance. I am very happy with the Eden Prairie School of Rock and the experiences it has given my son.
Great opportunity to learn a variety of music genres and can't none the with other musically oriented students.
The SoR takes time to understand each kids ability and puts them in a situation where they succeed and build confidence. With those building blocks, the kids learn that playing music in a band is teamwork. My son Matt has learned as much about teamwork as he has in hockey or lacrosse. And the venues they play at are way more fun than a rink or field. SoR Eden Prairie--I enthusiastically give 2 thumbs up.
Great instructors. Very patient
Everything!
My student loves this program. The communication this year though, I feel is lacking. It is Thursday already today and I have no idea what time the performance is tomorrow. When I asked the front desk girl yesterday, she had no idea and told me that an email would be coming out with the information. Stacy has not been around when I've been there to ask…. Please improve communication to families
Great teachers!!
The School of Rock program takes students beyond the classroom and allows them to put their hard work into practice. I can't say enough about the amazing St. Paul team. Adam is inspiring and really pushes students to do their best. My husband and I especially like to see how he interacts with the kids on stage. Thank you for all you do, Adam. You work so hard and we want you to know how much we appreciate your efforts.
The kids think it is so cool and they are learning quickly. They feel inspired.
Having both individual and group lessons. Teaching the kids at the level they are at regardless of what class they are in.
They're fun!
Teachers are great, patient & encouraging - kids
Learn music & instruments in a different way than at school - kids have chance to experience various instruments at one time and play moderm chart music not old stuff 😃
👍👍
The teachers and especially the owners whom all go out of their way for these kids! Great for my son with Autism. Kids have freedom to choose what they play and also songs they choose to learn. It's amazing for kiddos!
everything!
Flexibility, staff, teachers
The rookies teacher is great! My daughter is doing great in class and her love of music has grown so much.
With a name like "School of ROCK", you would think your kid is going to be exposed to just rock. Whatever that means. Since starting SoR in 2014, my son has played an Accoustic show, a Blues show, and a show inspired by Minnesota music. And he has ROCKED in a Foo Fighters show. If you are worried that this school won't teach your son/daughter to appreciate all music-don't be. This school has a place for students who appreciate a diversity in music tastes.
My son loves his rookies class. I like that he is learning all the different positions in a band. There is nothing else like the school of rock program.
Rookies gets an opportunity to perform on stage. This helps them to build the confidence and excitement. This program gets them closer to the instruments and music and builds that passion to music.
So great to have the kids be able to perform at real venues. Also, the owner and teachers rock!
The kids seem to have a fees time!
I feel that my children's creativity is supported and my kids feel free to express themselves
My boys have gained SO much confidence in themselves since starting at School of Rock three years ago. They love attending their lessons every week and LOVE performing!
My son enjoys both his private lessons and group practice very much. Learning about and appreciating music he had not previously been exposed to has been very fun and changed his views of different artists and groups. different Fun, energetic young teachers.
It's fun!
