My son has tried sports, he's tried dance, he's tried hobby clubs. Every one he wanted to quit after 1 week. When I tell him it's time to go to School of Rock lessons/band practice, instead of melting down about having to go, he says "ok I'll be in the car." Apparently he just needed to rock. We've been in school of rock for 6 months now, and I would 100% recommend it for your little rocker! The Owner/Manager are both wonderful and approachable. The teachers are all great role models, very approachable, good at their jobs, and fun. My son's confidence and happiness has skyrocketed since he started School of Rock. It's the best "activity" decision I've made for either of my children!
It's a very relaxed atmosphere and everyone at SOR is great about welcoming first-timers.
The feedback after lessons - both with the instructor and via email - is really helpful, as is how they explain to the student what they need to be working on for next week.

My son has a lot of fun in his lessons and is motivated to keep trying. He gets to play songs that are fun, and that he wants to listen to on regular basis. I also love the feeling I get when myself and my two younger children are waiting at the studio for during my son's lessons. It is a friendly, laid-back environment where we always feel welcomed and comfortable.
The programs at the School of Rock instill confidence in young performers. Youth are allowed to learn the skills at their own pace with encouragement by the staff, with the goal of playing in a group. Seeing your child use their talents to work with other musicians, is a lesson in teamwork they will use the rest of their lives. And it sounds great too!

I like the philosophy of teaching kids songs that they love instead of just notes. Even though they ARE learning notes! The school also teaches them confidence and teamwork. My son absolutely loves it!
The teachers are fantastic! My son has not only learned to play the drums, he has also developed an extraordinary amount of confidence. The performance based lessons are invaluable.

Fun for the kids. Teachers are energetic, young, and inspirational because they themselves are in bands. A unique approach to teaching kids how to play an instrument...lessons & rock band session each week.

I am very impressed by your learning design. SOR's approach to teaching puts fun first, ensuring my child stays engaged. Combine fun with lessons, independent practice, the opportunity to perform as a group in front of others and you've created the motivation and desire to learn and apply. My son started just a few months ago. He loves the selections, and has learned 8 songs, including one he learned completely on his own.
The programs at SOR really engage the kids. It expands their music library and gives them performance experience. The staff are incredible, patient, and kind.

First, we are always welcomed by Sean as we walk in. He knows all the students by name, and where they should be going and as a parents of a 10 year old makes us feel confident leaving her for lessons or band practice.
Her instructors have been patient, nice and enthusiastic about teaching her guitar. The Rock 101 is her favorite and she loves being part of a band. The performances are energetic, fun and full of talent!!
