I was a member of Lifetime for 21 years. I now consider Lifetime a CrossFit studio with some gym equipment. All I like to do is work with the wait and the latest and greatest in gym equipment. Powerhouse offers all of that at half the price
The Northville gym is very clean (new). No pool, but has a nice sauna and steamer!!

Everything is clean. Everyone is nice. There are plenty of machines and weights. There’s a basketball court and saunas, and a women’s only area.

Staff very Professional!!
The gym has had mostly everything I need. Unfortunately, there are a few luxuries I would like. A pendulum squat would be a good addition. Also, the leg extension machines don’t feel straight. That’s probably the biggest frustration with Powerhouse is some of the equipment is lacking in terms of its maintenance. We still recommend the gym. But small things could be improved.
For a gym, it's clean and so far everyone I've interacted with has been very nice. There is also a nice variety of equipment and I appreciate there are duplicates of popular machines.
