Most of the instructors are awesome. The facility shows wear in places, and the women's locker room could use more hooks in the shower area.
Your equipment has gotten gross and the locker room is unclean.
The club is a crap hole
Our club - Genesis/Miramont south is in disrepair.
I know there is a remodel that's been planned for a few years, but things are getting worse.
I love the employees, the members and the classes/activities.
I have been a member since they broke ground on this club, maybe 30 years?!
We need to have Masters Light on the Class Schedule, TUE/THU 6:15-7:15pm - we lost funding for a coach , but the group of us anywhere for 4 to 12 people continue to do Masters Light and we are now self coaching ourselves. We have been swimming as a group for 15+ years. If you can't afford a coach please at least put the class on the schedule so folks understand the pool is reserved for that hour on TUE/THU.
Last night we showed up for Masters Light (BTW all of us plan our weeks around this swim) and the outdoor pool was closed for maintenance (adding calcium), and the indoor pool has a broken lane line so only one lane was really open.

Equipment is kinda old
You can make sure the heat is on in the colder moths a the ac is on in the hotter months! The women’s restroom has a horrible sewage smell that is not sanitary. Yet you continue to change an annual maintenance fee. There is no maintenance being done at the Sprague faculty.
Equipment is frequently broken and repair times are a week or more. Club is not very clean - equipment is dirty and there is a lot of dust on the ducts.
Community feel
The staff is great but facilities are unkept. The hot tub has been out of order I’d say about 50% of the year and half I’ve been at the club. Most of the cushions are cracked or ripped on equipment. Rubber handles are missing or doesn’t fit on some equipment like pull up bars or the pec/fly machine.
Towels or rags are often missing from stations. Just buy more towels.
Locker rooms always filthy, need a deep clean, especially bathroom stalls. Hot tub gross. Equipment dirty, temperature NEVER properly regulated in main areas.
Location Cleaner
My family has a membership to your Hwy 291 location and there's a few things you could do to improve the experience there. The first one is the cleanliness of the gym. The women's bathrooms should be kept clean throughout the day as well as the paper towel holders filled up. Also, the aerobics room floor upstairs is rarely swept. I like stretching up there because it's quiet and private. I'm having to sit on the floor without a mat and there's stuff all over the floor. Hair, dirt from people's shoes, etc. and it's typically stuff that I noticed was there days before, meaning it was never swept. Leaving a few mats out for members to use would be so appreciated. complete and ongoing disrepair
This morning was the second time in the past few months the North Overland Park location has failed to open at the posted times. Last time was a Saturday where my schedule was open and I was able to drive to Olathe and still complete a workout. Today was a Thursday, and my workday starts by 7 AM so there was no hope after waiting from 5-5:30 AM with no sign of anyone. I watched at least a dozen other member cars come and go from the parking lot while waiting.
This is unacceptable to be happening at a rate of several times a year. I don’t exercise at 5 AM for fun, it is what my schedule demands. I pay my monthly dues, and the service I am to be provided is not holding up their end of the bargain.
I’m not sure, but it did appear one of the newer front desk employee was present but could not unlock the door. Everyone was in their cars as it was +\- 20 degrees.
This is the type of issue that after multiple incidents is motivating me to shop other gym opportunities. From the top down, a system should be in place that has multiple fall backs to get people in the door at the promised time.
Easy to use. Great machinery although there aren’t ever any paper towels to wipe down machines. I like the pool and sauna.
I was renewed for a month to month membership and I've now been paying for a membership I don't use for months. I would like a refund...
More weights, fix broken equipment within a timely manner
I work nights and there are no classes that I am interested in that don't occur either early in the am or after 5pm when I am working. All the noon classes have been eliminated. It is too far for me to just pop in to lift a few weights. It seems cold and not friendly at all. I no longer like going to this location.
The people make a difference :) employees as well as the members. Employees are people-centered, focused on helping the members working out. Members are also nice to lift with - helping each other, focused on working out.
The layout of equipment is really nice too - offers variety of equipment with organization such that a person can get a good workout in within a short amount of time (not a lot of time is wasted locating same body-part machines or weights on other side of gym, etc.) - Bolting benches and other pieces to the floor really helps with organization and offering efficient workouts.
Location itself is also good for me, I can bundle workouts with other activities, saving on gas
Facility Issues. Water heating issues, Whirlpool breaking down (jets, timer). It can take weeks to fix. Needs better monitoring of missing towels issue to check locked lockers overnight. Members not informed of mechanical issues at front desk or even by a simple phone recording.
I have been downgraded with my membership now. I began in 1999. Weekly hours have been shortened.
Make more yoga classes available and ensure the group classes take different physical capabilities under consideration.

Please keep the paper towels and disinfectant spray filled in the group exercise room. Also, a better quality of paper towels would be great.
