THe price doesn't change based on circumstances
Gabriel Sanchez was overly talkative and it was difficult for me to get a word in edgewise. He spent nearly 40 minutes talking at me while I was trying to eat lunch over the noon hour before a 1 PM videoconference that I had to attend. Once I got him to get down to the business of making the estimate, I told him that I was going to be in a meeting when he finished and that he would have to leave the quote with me for later consideration. He rang the doorbell while I was in the meeting and didn't hand over the quote sheet as I requested. Instead, he asked to come in to discuss the quote. I let him in and told him we needed to be quick because I was in a meeting. Instead, he talked my ear off for the next 20 minutes and the meeting ended without me being able to rejoin. I had the other attendees talking over my computer speakers and he could hear them the entire time but didn't seem to take the hint.
Overall, the MasterShield product seems to be one of the better ones available, but the BBB rating and complaints leaves me wondering how much MasterShield stands behind its products. And, as mentioned above, I am a bit put off by the pushiness / intrusiveness of the rep.
Yes. A woman who booked my appointment over the phone said there was no minimum for the work to be done. The guy who arrived for the estimate said, Sorry it’s $1250.00.

The technician showed up on time. He was courteous and professional and he wore a mask.
The rep that came out was professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the estimate provided was significantly higher than the bid eventually taken, and much higher than the material manufacturer (Trex) showed for the job on their website. Admittedly a relatively small job, which several contractors admitted up front was below the $10k threshold of their minimum for taking on a project. If the rep hadn't been so good to work with, this would have been a much lower score.
The rep that came out did a great job. Friendly, approachable, professional. Unfortunately the job was obviously too small for Allied to consider, and the estimate was more than twice what the material manufacturer (Trex) estimated for material and labor. If the rep hadn't been so professional and up front, this would have scored much lower.
The quote included the total price of both installation and cost of the shutters, but wasn’t broken down to see the cost of the shutters.
Eric was friendly and came within the expected time frame, given the storm the night before. It's been a few days since he came out, but I have yet to receive my estimate.
