I was surprised to see so many people on the track on a Tuesday afternoon. I really miss the Fort Wayne Y’s. Van Wert Ohios Y is shocking in comparison. No accessibility. No elevators. Steps here and there inside. It’s like a maze. There’s no indoor track. Area for seniors is very small. Women’s locker room has two stalls with half wooden doors. I don’t feel safe with all the nooks and crannies. Or the after hours. I keep getting lost to the point of tears one time.It doesn’t seem accommodating to all members of the population. Jackson Lehman has robust senior involvement. The van wert Y’s building is working against them big time. Therefore I truly appreciate Fort Wayne’s modern Y’s , simple in and out et. and was thrilled to be at DuPont the other day.
I have noticed the staff taking such great care of the equipment; cleaning it, adjusting the position (if equipment has moved), and making sure young children aren’t on the machines. I appreciate the overall ‘active’ presence of the staff.
I have also noticed there is supervision for the teens that arrive after school. This, in my opinion, has really cut down on some previous issues in the restrooms or under the stairwells or in the gaming area.

The variety of classes, the indoor and outdoor pool facilities and the opportunity to play pickleball throughout the week.
The leadership team is good and this shows with very friendly people. The instructors, trainers and lifeguards are helpful and respectful. I have never had a problem with any of the team members

I love the programs that are offered for homeschool and preschool age kids. I love the warm pool at the one ymca and wish all of them had it.

Friendly and helpful Staff
I am always greeted by the person at the desk and the "Prayer Guys". The locker room and showers are well lit and clean.
Alesea is THE BEST aqua instructor!!!!! This branch isn't the closet Y to my home but I drive the extra miles for her classes.

I feel the commodity there is wonderful; especially for those that are looking not only to get healthy physically, as well as mentally!

The facility is clean and well maintained. There is a great variety of classes offered at good times. The pool and hot tub could be warmer though!
The men’s body‑foam soap is really poor quality. Nearly every dispenser is either broken or barely dispensing anything. On top of that, the foam itself smells old and musty. Could someone please check the dispensers and the soap quality.
I greatly appreciate the wonderful folkks we have in our classes. THey have become friends also. We have a great teacher in Barb who makes our time fun and ambitious. Her enthusiasm is contagious for all.
