Everything about it has been great! As newcomers to the area, my family has made new connections and felt like instant members of the community. We make use of the group classes, trainings for teenagers, the weights, the machines, and so much more! I used to work for a much smaller, very different, awesome YMCA and I’m so excited and proud to be part of this much larger Southeast Y family! Thank you for all that you do!

1. convenient location
2. Tai Chi classes (on hold till early 2026 but worth the wait)
3. pop-up classes
4. some half-hour classes
5. investment in the community around the Y
6. collaborations with other organizations for this zip code
7. friendly staff
8. emphasis on making memberships affordable for folks
9. willing to try new classes and see what folks come t

I take several group fitness classes and I enjoy the mashup classes at Southeast Y
Well managed, clean facilities, and wide range of excellent exercise equipment.
The staff are amazing and the facilities are perfect! Outdoor heated pool is our favorite!!!

I love the people and the overall vibe. It's an awesome place!
My absolute favorite instructor teaches there exclusively (Pat Z.), so that is reason #1. But a close second is the genuine willingness of management and staff to hear feedback and ideas from members. Even if the requested changes can't happen, I appreciate having my ideas heard and considered with an open mind and positive attitude.
I think it's a safe place and my daughter loves it.

Excellent focus on sportsmanship and teamwork instilled from the top down. Great coaches and refs (basketball) all around. Caring approach.

This location is my favorite. It’s smaller, yet clean and modern. Not as crowded and a great variety of classes offered. Mat Pilates with pat is the best!
