I love the SE Raleigh YMCA and it is my favorite Raleigh YMCA. I'm not loving the ever-increasing membership fees, and at almost $60/month I'd like to see that capped or hold steady for a good long while. I'm not thrilled about the recent changes to the morning classes offered either - bring back Tuesday and Thursday Barre class! Our membership fees are collected all the same regardless of class size. Having a full house in a class at ~7AM on weekdays is probably impossible, but those that did come really needed that class to start the day off right.

I like the new times for some of the classes. The SE Y location offers a good variety. I drive the extra miles from my home because I usually can get the class I want and the track is nice to walk before or after class. The classes I enjoy the most are Pendora's Trap Yoga and Yin, Nate's Kettlebell (wish he had a 2nd one during the week) and Andrea B's Barre class. For today, I like the option of doing Barbell then going into Yin.

The staff are welcoming and the facilities are clean. There are a variety of classes to choose from to meet the cardio/strength/flexibility needs, and the members are kind!

Visited this location for the first time with my mother today, she is the new member. The staff is very friendly and informative. Great exercise room, a variety of classes, cool red light sauna and “Thrive” activities. Love the y!
