My granddaughter enjoyed her summer experience at the South East Raleigh YMCA summer day camp. She been attending for the last 4 years and looks forward to her summer at Camp Renaissance.
I like that the time to arrive is flexible. I also like that if a child is having behavior challenges, the staff handles it without youth being sent home. I al like the trips.

I would rate my Southeast Raleigh YMCA Day Camp experience a 9 out of 10. I had a lot of fun, made great friends, and really enjoyed playing basketball and football. Every day was exciting, and I looked forward to coming to camp.
The camp counselors are great! You can tell that the leaders of the camp do a great job in hiring. It’s very organized and communication has been great!
We absolutely loved the camp! Our boys had a great time, the counselors are top-notch!! We are excited for next summer!
I really enjoy using the track for a 30-minute walk during the week.
The class that I attended was engaging and fun-Tai Chi. The instructor was very helpful and patient with new beginners. So far so good. Plenty workout equipment. And very CLEAN. Peaceful. Relaxing. I look forward to partnering with the Y financially.
I love the early morning hours, the kid zone, the outdoor pool, the staff, the community. I could go on and on!!

My daughter absolutely loves the camp! She enjoys every single day, loves her counselors and the entire group, and truly looks forward to being there. It makes me very happy to see how much she enjoys her time at camp.
The only thing I would like to mention is the swimming day on Wednesdays. According to the summer camp schedule, she has swimming on Wednesdays, but unfortunately, she is not able to take a shower afterward. I have mentioned several times that if my daughter goes swimming, it is very important for her to shower afterward, and she also asked about the possibility of taking a shower. However, we were told that this option is not available.
Because of this, we have decided that she will not participate in swimming. This honestly makes me very sad, because she would love to enjoy this activity with the other children. I really hope there might be a way to provide campers with an opportunity to rinse off or shower after swimming in the future.
Overall, though, we are very happy with the camp and truly appreciate all the wonderful work the counselors do!

Stay were always so joyful, enthusastic and personable. They rememberd my children's names quickly and gave our children the attention and support they needed. Staff were really good at communicating with me when my children struggled or forgot something important. And my children' loved it. They didn't want it to end.
