This gym is a little oasis that is just a few steps away from my yoga studio, Yoga Off East. I am adding cardio and weights to my workout routine — before or after my yoga classes. It’s clean and quiet at the American Tobacco YMCA and the staff is very encouraging and kind.
The staff is friendly and very informative. The gym is clean and accommodating.
They are small but have all the equipment you need for good work-out, including top line treadmills you need when you can’ t run outside. Best of all are the friendly, helpful staff they have on hand.

I love the group classes and the ease of coming and going. It is also affordable for low income folks which is life-changing for me.
A 1000% believe that this location should be a test site for a 24-hour 7 day a week access model. It could have a key fob entry system and you can continue staffing it for the hours that you currently have. It feels like the hours keep getting cut back and it is a wonderful location to work out in. Please please consider trying out this model. Once my kids are finished with swimming with YOTA I may end up leaving the Y to find a facility that has 24/7 access.

Ms Shirley is the best! I also like that ATC doesn't get as crowded as often as Downtown. It's small, so it's better when there aren't tons of people on machines.

Staff is wonderful. Equipment is in good shape. There's a variety of equipment. The facility is nestled in an interesting location with scenic waterfalls of the tobacco complex. As a long time member of the Y, this is my favorite location.
