Friendly welcoming staff
It's clean, the staff is friendly, the equipment is well-maintained, and it's not too busy.
I cannot express how much class with Laurie (ATC) and Lenae (Downtown) mean to me. They are so reliable, give me so much joy, create community, and ground my week. I love how group fitness really brings people together and offers me a place I am known.
I would love for hair ties/elastics to be added to the women's locker room with the feminine products. Thanks.

The gym is very special and conducive to my workout
Right now I prefer this YMCA compared to the one in Morgan St. The Tobacco YMCA is further away of a drive for me but the facility is much better: not as cramped, the locker feels much more clean and organize. I would really prefer to go to the Morgan St YMCA cause I'm closer to it but the last time I went to work out there it looks like equipment's were rearrange not for the better but for the worse. I think the parking situation is slightly better at the Morgan St YMCA.

I like the smaller, less crowded atmosphere. Due to the fact it is smaller, I’ve gotten to know the other folks working out. It feels like a small family group among the regulars.

Cleanliness. Updated and well-maintained equipment. Variety of offerings for group fitness classes. Proximity to the running/bike trail (American Tobacco Trail). Our family loves it!
I love the YMCA at the American tobacco location. I think this location would benefit greatly by becoming a 24-hour access location. It can be modeled after many gyms in the area that have a key card access and staff only during the day. Staff would not be needed at night. Please consider at least doing a trial run of this model.
