Great atmosphere

My son is happy at aftercare!

Our experience on the WEY Racers swim team has been extraordinary this season, and we look forward to returning for more. Coach James, Coach Val, and the rest of the staff have been very communicative, both with parents about logistics and with my son about improving his technique, speed, and performance. This was our first year and it's been a wonderful introduction to competitive swimming for my son.

We love our YMCA after school program! The counselors are so friendly, and they make my little one feel very safe and well cared for. I can’t imagine doing anything else for aftercare!!

I love the group exercise classes! Julia's class Move N Groove is good medicine and lots of fun; I always feel 100% better mentally and physically after Julia's class. Her playlist of dance tunes is epic. Nasheed's class Super Seniors is also amazing. If I attend class regularly, I gain strength and muscle mass in my legs, and I have better balance and more confidence. Both Julia and Nasheed are excellent instructors because they have best practices behind their exercises AND they build community and emotional connection among the participants.

I like the cardio machines for the times when I have missed the group classes. The steam room is really good for relaxing.

My son's experience on the West Essex YMCA Racers swim team has been amazing. He has learned so much about competitive swimming from Coaches James, Val, and Amy - not just strokes and technique but being a good teammate and communicating with your team and coaches too. It's the full experience. We could not have asked for more in our first competitive swim season. My son is a veteran of WEY swim lessons as well, and I have recommended WEY over and over again to people looking to get their kids comfortable in the water because WEY takes lessons beyond just facility in the water - kids really learn to swim there, and to enjoy swimming.

I am very satisfied with the YMCS experience. The front office staff is VERY PLEASANT and greets me always with a smile and at times with something funny to set up the right tone!

I also like the couple classes that I have taken and continue to take especially the Saturday 9:15am Spin class.

Like many Men the I do have some issues with Men's locker room and the bathroom but that is my only complaint at this Y.

I like that it is very accessible from my house. I have many familiar faces that I see from town. The weight machines area can improve. There are many more machines that I'd like to see there. But I would recommend this place for location and company.

The staff is always so friendly and there to help whenever you need it.

The entire staff is so friendly and caring. The front desk knows your name. The instructors are lovely...but Kristine is in a class all by herself! The building is clean and maintained to the best of all possibilities.

Please don't keep on sending me this--I've done this a number of times before.

Your staff, the members are wonderful and welcoming. I am particularly impressed with the cleaning staff in the ladies locker room. She is tireless, works non stop to keep everything sanitary and clean. She is a gem!
