Daily pool time and swim lessons
My son is loving swimming every day and the dodge ball type games the most. Also the freedom to follow an interest like he and a friend have been finding rocks and brought a brush and magnifying glass from home to look at the rocks he finds. The lunches I’ve been ordering have been great.
The different activities planned. Outdoor and indoor activities. The trips and pizza Friday’s. Daily swimming so much fun!

All of the teachers and administrators at Peanut Shell are incredibly warm and friendly with all the kids and their families.
Good aftercare offering, convenient because it is in the same school
The time and location are very convenient. The price is doable. The workers are very nice; our kids like them, and we like that they have consistent supervision by the same people.
The only thing somewhat confusing were the introduction of fundraisers this year. I'm fine with fundraisers, but we didn't get enough info.
For example, the movie night... Were parents invited? Our kids said that if you paid, you got popcorn and a movie, but the kids that don't pay also get the movie. So they just don't get popcorn? And maybe cotton candy?
There was one for pretzels. We didn't take part, because we weren't sure how it worked. How would YMCA know what days to bring them, since our kids aren't there every day? What time would they be served, because sometimes we pick our kids up early.
Keep doing them, but please try to make the information clearer.

We have a good experience. One feedback that can be improved is during the school closure (winter break and spring break ) the after care is closed but we are still charged for the complete week and need to pay additional to enroll to the camps during that period.
There should be either no charge for those weeks or the kids enrolled to after care shud be automatically enrolled to camps

I know that my grandson is in excellent hands at aftercare. The staff is warm, congenial, and attentive. They supervise homework and provide help when needed.
I have enjoyed seeing my son feel welcomed and safe with the staff at the peanut shell; there has never been a moment I have questioned their trust with my son’s care. Academically, the center has great teachers that integrate playtime with learning, which has made my son enjoy learning songs, numbers, and his alphabets. The Peanut Shell is more a second home than a simple Child Center.

We have been going to the gym for years and we love the staff, classes and elliptical machine. We appreciate how they keep the gym so clean.
Instructors with good music ( Kristine and Julia). . Want an aerobic workout not stretching or balance as the objective. Teachers who interact rather than read from a book and spend more time talking to lifeguard. More instructors like Kristine and Julia. Stuff for stretching can be taught in a land based class
We are having an exceptional experience at the swimming center at ymca!! Both our teachers are fantastic! We tried a famous swimming center for a year - and my kid did not make much progress and resisted going to the place every week. With the semi-private training here, I have seen progress in a short duration and he is eagerly waiting for classes every week. Such a dramatic turn around. I also take the adult summing classes myself and can not be happier!! Thank you Ron for managing a fantastic team and facility!!
The West Essex YMCA exceeded my expectations. Every day is a new invigorating experience. I walked into the Y unsure and self conscious. This amazing staff has helped and encouraged me to feel and do better every time I come. I utilize many different areas of the facility, and every area is a positive experience. Thank you!
