Helpful and informed staff. Great classes and aerobic equipment.
Some suggestions: can blinds be placed in the basketball gym? Early morning sun can be blinding and somewhat dangerous during pick up play. Also, not sure how regularly the gym floors are swept, but seems like it needs to be done more regularly. But overall, a really well run Y.
It has everything I would need at a reasonable price, no contracts. I like the family feel of the age demographic and don't feel intimidated to be in the weight room. The facility is kept up nicely and the staff is very nice and accommodating.
I really enjoy going there to exercise but lately the audio in the treadmills was remove for Chanel 9. I hope this can get fixed
They have a variety of workout areas, classes, and work out machines. The staff is very Friendly and it's very clean.
Great teacher, and ability to access many fitness helpers
It’s a great place for exercise and fellowship! I’ve been a member for a very long time and it’s always a great experience.
The aesthetic, it's clean and convenient
The lap pool carries the most interest. I got my work session in this week in the morning despite an online schedule showing a team would occupy all lanes. It helped that there were unused lanes, and so I took one. I also like your location, which is now closer to my workplace in Fair Park than the Park Cities Y. That's b/c my workplace has changed. I liked the clean locker room, available, unoccupied lockers (many full size, which Park Cities/Moody Y no longer has), and many available nice white towels. Choices of free weights, machines and abundant aerobic equipment also impressed me.
Friendly staff, excellent equipment, and convenient location!
A good variety of classes
The staff, variety of classes offered and the set up of machines and weights on the floor
Love the commraderie in the classes and the variety of class types/times available.
NOTE: The classes in the “yoga” room are very crowded as is Nicki’s HIIT class. The classes in the larger room don’t seem very crowded - some of these more crowded classes should be in that room.
As a senior citizen I enjoy the openness to our age group at the White Rock YMCA and the activities they have for us.
Easy to navigate, all around. Everyone is friendly. The space is tidy and well kept.
Great instructors
I like EVERYTHING! The friendliness of the front desk staff the moment I come in and when I leave; the great exercise classes and instructors; the friendly members; how clean the housekeeping staff keep the facility, and most of all, the many friends I have made there.
In my 15 years of being a member of the White Rock YMCA, every visit has been a happy one.
Nice facility friendly staff
I like the community.
All ages
Reasonable cost. Friendly people. Clean updated facilities fun classes and teachers
The class offering schedule is great.
Variety of classes, cleanliness, close to my house
Everyone is very friendly, and the location is very clean. I loved that it is family-oriented.
Child watch, pricing, people
The kindness of the employees
Venue is close and equipment is relatively new, monthly dues are quite reasonable compared to other clubs.
I’ve been working with a great personal trainer. It has been a great way to jump start my fitness routine.
It’s super friendly, always bright and clean, and my family and I feel like it’s a safe place.

I like the classes and instructors. Clean facilities, towels provided. Good variety of weights and cardio machines. Nice community feel.
I wish there were more class options at 5am or 5:30am on weekdays. And I wish the Y was open for more hours on Sundays and more class options on Sundays. Plus, I hope they don't continue to move weight machines around every few months, that is frustrating.
The downstairs weight and cardio area is often too hot in the summer. They should use the blinds more often, especially since they are facing west. And lower the temperature on the air conditioner. On Monday, upstairs was about 15 degrees cooler than downstairs.
