I love it there! I love the classes (werq, zumba and body pump).
I do wish the classes would move back to 1 hour, and some classes need to be added in the 4:30 time slot. I feel like classes are mostly tailored to those who work 8:00-5:00, but not to those who have kids will millions of evening activities. On Monday, the group x room is completely empty at that time. There seems to be many new members which I am guessing could fund some of these things.
The Y has not been as clean as previous years, the floors are pretty dirty and there are dust bunnies in the corners and under equipment.
Great facilities. Kids were in a swim class. The instructor was very patient even with my challenging distracted kids.
Location
I took time away from this location and am so happy to see there are a few more pieces of equipment since i was there last. The facility is clean and bright and i love training there.
One thing i do appreciate about the other Y location i went to for years was the “in between” dumbbell weights— the 12.5, 18.5, 22.5, etc
Sometimes 5lbs is too big a jump for smaller muscle groups and those 2.5 jumps are just perfect.
The staff is friendly, the machines are easy to use and see when you first walk up the stairs. Everything is easy to navigate.
I like how clean it is and how family friendly it is. I feel safe in this women's locker room vs the downtown Y.
Yoga class and machines. BUT I think the facility is dirty. I see a lot of large balls of dust and dirt everywhere.
