The staff is friendly, the machines are easy to use and see when you first walk up the stairs. Everything is easy to navigate.
I like how clean it is and how family friendly it is. I feel safe in this women's locker room vs the downtown Y.
Yoga class and machines. BUT I think the facility is dirty. I see a lot of large balls of dust and dirt everywhere.

The Y employees are courteous and friendly. There are disinfecting napkins available throughout the gym for all members to clean equipment. There are plenty of empty lockers to my disposal.

Fitness Classes
What i like: I really enjoy the wide variety of exercise equipment in the weight room. It has everything you could ever want in a gym.
What I do not like: Please do not play country music in the weight room. It is not conducive to a rigorous workout. Plus, no one really likes country music anyways. Those that say they do must have had a traumatic childhood.
We love the zero entry pool for our daughter. She loves coming to this Y to play in the pool. While we love it it would be super fun if all the items on the water tower worked, I was thinking with all of the pool renovations in 2023 that these items would have been fixed. We will still come to swim but were just kind of bummed.
The staff is friendly, that facilities are clean and the equipment available more than covers my needs.

Location and availability of equipment
I like the cleanliness and the many different options for exercising at the Spartan Y. The instructors do a great job.

It is very expensive though for the average person to be able to afford. I’ve tried to get many other people to come and the price is what is the deterrent.
The pool area for kids
I do the water aerobics classes at SpartanNash YMCA. I love working out with Kathleen H! She is a great instructor and motivates me to keep working towards my fitness goals. She makes working out fun and enjoyable!

Great facilities and class options and teachers. Wish the showers were a little more updated and private. I sometimes run into showers with no hot water. Really friendly staff and the workout areas are always clean. Good location.
I took time away from this location and am so happy to see there are a few more pieces of equipment since i was there last. The facility is clean and bright and i love training there.
One thing i do appreciate about the other Y location i went to for years was the “in between” dumbbell weights— the 12.5, 18.5, 22.5, etc
Sometimes 5lbs is too big a jump for smaller muscle groups and those 2.5 jumps are just perfect.
