I always feel very welcomed from the time I enter the door, lifeguards in the pool, and even when I walk out.
Clean facility. Helpful, smiling staff.
The racquetball courts are my favorite. I also really like that you are expanding pickleball to the evenings.
Late hours, lots of open swim lanes late !!!
Melissa is a great instructor. Clear and precise instruction and feedback, works with your skill level, and is very encouraging.
Friendly and helpful staff
Clean facility
Convenient hours
The workers, amenities, track, pool, sauna, hot tub. I would love it if you guys could add a cold plunge, provide towels and improve parking situation.
I love the Y's approach to swimming instruction. In particular, Miss Melissa has been a patient, child-centered teacher and it has been a joy to watch my daughter gain confidence and have fun in the water under her care. Just the other day, my daughter finally dunked her head in the bath, something that she was previously unwilling to do. She popped up afterward and said, "We need to get Miss Melissa in here to see this!" I am excited to continue to go to the Y for more swim instruction in the future. :)
It’s a great place to spend hours getting your mind right. They should probably pay the referee’s for the basketball leagues a little more because they are horrible or audit them or something
Love this Y! Highly recommend to anyone. It’s always clean and the host staff is very friendly. HUGE shout out to Body Pump instructors Jenn, Emily and Amy! They are incredible at what they do and really care about the people in their classes!
I really enjoy taking my kids swimming. I will say that the lifeguards are very nice!

Friendly and clean.
It is very good for our health and thank you so much for those people who created the ymca.

It's been fantastic. It would be nice to get towell service back. But the rest of the experience has been great.
I love the wide level of swim classes offered, and I think the small class sizes are great for individual attention! My only wish is that more of the youngest classes could be offered so class sizes could remain small but more toddlers (like mine, who unfortunately never made it off the wait list), could get into the intro classes.
Hot tub, sauna, walking track, very nice staff
My daughter's teacher, Suzie, has been so encouraging and patient with all of the kids in her class. I appreciate her attitude and warm disposition because I think it makes all the difference at this age (3)!
I enjoy the Dave D Huntington YMCA. The greeters are so friendly and welcoming and my personal trainer is really helping my with my osteoporosis! I’ve made significant progress and plan to continue. I also enjoy the classes, especially the YOGA class.
Miss Melissa is amazing with kids. She is extraordinarily patient and gentle while teaching them how to swim
Art is a great instructor. The workouts are great and I love the community that comes out to swim
Well kept dressing room and pool. BUT what is MOST liked is the terrific work that Art Schmeling (sp) is doing NOT just for the morning Master's program but also as a terrific ambassador and advocate for the YMCA swimming. He helps lap swimmers with their workouts, affirms and encourages them in an inatrusive but positive way. He even adjusts things so swimmers waiting to swim can get in the pool the moment one of our lanes becomes available at the end of practice. I hope you folks know how big an asset Art is for the Aquatics program at both DDH and MFB. And that's even before saying how significant a difference he has been as on deck coach for the Masters programs at both Ys. For all skill levels, including inexperienced lap swimmers to the highly skilled, he works with all of us, giving encouragement but more importantly, helpful skill training and corrections in our training. I can't say enough positive about his way with everyone. You have a YMCA asset that you don't want to lose, that's for sure.

Overall enjoy using the facility. It's typically clean. The free weights can be a bit scattered on the rack which is frustrating at times - many gyms i've been to the in the past have labels on each rack, which I assume helps mitigate. I also worked at a gym in college where it was the responsibility of the weight room attendant to keep the weight plates organized by amount.
