Love how the instructors really give their best in teaching the kids how to swim. My son enjoys his classes!
Love Mr. Bailey! Been a great experience and really helped my toddler get more comfortable in the water.
Liam loves hi swim classes! Great instructors and class overall!
The instructors are amazing
Very good
I don't think the swimming groups should be larger than 4 - 5 kids so kids can maximize their experience.
The instructors are fantastic. My son is having a blast and learning to swim at the same time.
The swimming lessons are terrific. Everyone is very professional and friendly I highly recommend the YMCA for swimming lessons
Affordable and well equipped gym.
Park Street YMCA’s Swim Lessons are incredible. I always believed that I was a fantastic swimmer. Unfortunately, confidence and execution are not the same in swimming. I have learned the proper form to survive in the water and I’ve gained a sustainable way to exercise. The classes are conveniently structured and competently instructed. Additionally, it’s always great to have an activity to look forward to every week.
We love swim classes at the Y! Especially Mr. Cameron and Mr. Josh
Great program & instructors.
I wanted to share some feedback on the lessons in the big pool. They’re great overall! I suggest that instructors provide specific feedback to each student about what they need to work on. This way, every student can stay challenged and focus on improving their own skills, even in a group lesson.
Thank you for your dedication!
My children learned a lot in a short period of time and had fun while doing it. Would recommend!
Lots of variety--classes, weight room, cardio equipment. Generally, the equipment is in good shape.
It has state-of-the art equipment, every kind of class at every fitness level and the two pools are clean. Heated and carefully managed time-wise. I'm 70;and there are aqua fit classes..very good and the showers are big, clean n private. There is lots of lap time in both pools if you want it. They also have clean dressing rooms with lockers available. Montclair parking the only drawback but it's still WAY worth it!!
Low key, friendly staff (esp. Lisa!), appreciate all the classes and workout equipment.
The people very helpful
Generally a one stop shop fitness spot. I also like that I can visit other facilities as part of being a member.
Lots of workout choices at a reasonable price
Montclair YMCA is a community minded resource that is an invaluable asset to young and old. Its facilities are adequate and well kept. Their programs are current and relevant. I have been. Member for 25+ years.
I like seeing my friends and neighbors, of all ages at the Y. There are plenty of options for a workout and it feels like it's part of the community. Also, I really appreciate that there's no music blasting thru the speakers. Instead I can quietly listen to my own music w/earbuds.

I stopped going for a while after the first set of lockers were placed. I've been a member since 2008. Joined again last year, love the new look. The new way of registering is easy also. The new lockers are nice looking and roomy. I find the pool and senior classes are suited for all taking them. Instructors are caring and friendly. Parking is not usually a problem. Hoping to be able to participate as much as possible.
