All the adults working there know my son's name and are happy to see him. The ELC also is very friendly to parents, staying open on most school holidays and with very flexible hours.

I enjoy attending two exercise classes for seniors. I am 72 years old. I attend John Morton’s classes on Tuesday and Thursday. I attend Jackie’s classes on Wednesday and Friday. On most days I also do the circuit weight training.
Some teachers have 20+ years of experience. Low turnover means happy teachers and happy classrooms.
Good yoga classes, and plenty of availability of swimming. Friendly desk staff too.
Quality services and helpful staff. A safe place for kids.

The recumbent “bicycle” is invaluable. I can say honestly that I would recommend to someone else, because I have. I recommended it to my husband, who is now a member as well.
Everyone is very friendly. It's a good place for seniors' physical exercise needs.
1. I notice you have events and gift T shirts for long time members of the Y —- I suggest at least gift T shirts for people who are celebrating their first year anniversary at the Y (makes them feel welcome, more a part of the Y family, and hopefully they will bring in new members)
( forgive me if you are already doing this)
2. Working at the front desk signing people in is a great way to meet and get to know Y members. Without jeopardizing the jobs of current front desk employees, I suggest the y employees who work upstairs ( all of them) rotate taking turns joining employees at the front desk to check people in - perhaps a disruption to their upstairs duties, but far worth it in terms of getting to know members ( and not just knowing them by their photos, email etc) All upstairs employees, top to bottom, would benefit - as would the members as we get to know the upstairs Y employees!!
(By joining the employees at the front desk, I mean do not replace, but sit there in addition to ( three at front desk is ok!)

The thing I like most about the Park Street YMCA is the tremendous sense of community there. Beyond that, I love the pool, and I like the weight room.
