The staff at the downtown Y is aplways pleasant and welcoming. The facility is always clean and welcoming. The women's fitness center was always great but it is even nicer now with the recent improvements. Thank you to the Downtown Y for providing a safe, welcoming and nice environment for all members! As with all the Syracuse YMCA branches, it is a great place to workout!

The downtown site is very comfortable and unassuming. Everyone is welcoming—staff and members. It may not be the newest facility but I find it much more friendly and less sterile than the other sites.

The downtown Y is very comfortable. One receives smiles and friendly greetings from others. Classes are to my liking. The teachers are confident and encouraging.
It’s convenient to where I live and there’s no kids there either and I also like the showers. The other thing is that no homeless people bother me. The staff is ok could a little friendlier. The lifeguards are pretty nice.
Close to home
I like the pool. The water is clean, Classes are good. I love the people I have met. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
A caveat: the pool surround needs scrubbing as do walls. Ladies shower floor needs a GOOD scrubbing. Light in locker room mirror needs replacing. Carpeting is fair. The bathrooms are clean. I was disappointed when the Y closed for a “deep clean” only to find above issues not addressed.

I work at the downtown ymca and meant a lot of good people and friends there I would recommend the ymca to anyone. After I retired I been spending the last 6 volunteering and I love ❤️ it I spent 43 and a half years working at the downtown ymca and have a proclamation from the mayor and have a day name after me Bob Petrillo community recognition day Dec. 19 th. I wouldn't go anywhere else but the ymca it's been my entire life.
First time visiting Downtown location. Beautiful place! Beautiful building. I was greeted kindly & was able to ask questions. I was able to see the facilities. It could not be a better "set up" esp w the track. So happy I came Downtown!

Used pool while Hal Welsh pool was being serviced. As in the past, staff/lifeguard were friendly and helpful, locker rooms and showers excellent.
Staff were so friendly and helpful!
The staff was very nice and inclusive of all the kids. They were extremely responsive one day when my child was late getting to the program. All ended up being fine, but they contacted me right away, which I appreciated. My child was always having a good time when I came to pick him up from the program.
