I swim on the regular and the Lifeguards and entire pool area is run so very professionally - The lap lane reservation system works great but there is also some open space if no reservation could be made! Many Thanks to the Dow Y pool team!!!

Makes me move. You have a lot of different classes to chose from, for your abilities. No one judges on what you can or can't do. Always someone there that will help, if you have any questions about anything.

There have been some great updates at the YMCA, specifically with regard to areas / equipment that I use. I appreciate that fitness classes have been moved off the courts, so that they are more available for basketball and other sports. Being able to use the courts is the primary reason I am a member at the YMCA. Another thoughtful update was walling off the weights area by the squat racks. When it was open before, kids would frequently run through that area, posing a safety concern. I also appreciate the updated lighting in the showers in the men's locker room. Overall, the facility seems better maintained and cleaner than in previous years. Though I have not met the fairly new CEO, it appears that he has provided good leadership. Credit is deserved by the staff / employees who have helped improve the facility as well.
The facility is.clean & bright. The front desk staff are welcoming & helpful. Class instructors are well qualified, friendly & encouraging. There is a positive feeling throughout the building where people are gathering for team sports, working toward individual fitness goals, socializing & supporting one another. Administration is responsive & committed to creating a sense of community.
Bonus, walking in the back door & seeing the toddlers enjoying the playground!
Friendships, common interests, and healthy experiences. Our 50 year old daughter joined the BAFY in June, 2025. We sometimes exercise together.

Also use the indoor walking track, a good option in winter months!

The community involvement is great for reaching out to so many. The facility is very well equipped to meet the needs of parents, kids and anyone wanting to shape up, stay fit with nice social interactions.

I absolutely love how they treat you like family!! From the time you are greeted when you enter the building at the check in desk to the time you leave and they say “Have a great day” at the check in desk, it is always a positive experience. I also love how they have Ben personalizing it, with my first name “Have a great day Kevin”. I mean the only other business that does that to me is Starbucks!! I think I go to Starbucks too much😂.
Seriously though, just keep doing what you are doing, your customer experience is truly amazing!!
