Fun place with friendly staff and great people
All the free classes....great exercise equipment....clean facility...friendly staff....location
I like being a 24/7 member. I work overnights at my job, so it gives me the flexibility to workout whenever I want. The pool area is very nice when the facility is open.
Everyone is friendly. Love the classes and the instructors.
I love that most of the time when I enter your facilities I am greeted with a sincere "Hello" or "Good morning" with an added "Have a good workout".
Then when I leave I am greeted with a "have a good day". This type of customer care means the world to me. Like a lot of people I have a wide choice of places to work out, but choose the Y for this and more reasons. It does not feel like a "cold" non-caring place to work out anymore.👍😎.
In fact one lady behind the counter even greets me by my first name, which is amazing👍💙, makes me feel like I am somehow part of the Y Family.
I am at the Y every single day and if I have seen improvement lately, it has been indeed in this area. Am I greeted every day, no not yet, but it had gotten better.
I also work somewhat in customer service school teacher, and I intently make sure I greet every one of my students at my classroom door every day, it does make a difference!👍
I like the classes for adults and children.
I had a desire to become more active and found the welcoming place I needed in the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA. I started with a physical assessment and now am working with a personal trainer to learn about how to safely move my body and work towards goals we set together. Everything is kept impeccably clean and orderly and other members are so friendly as I am doing my workouts. The pool has been a family favorite and is a safe and fun place for my kids to practice swimming without worrying about other people being too rough and rowdy. Highly recommend this Y to anyone looking for a welcoming place to meet your fitness and fun goals, no matter how big or how small they are starting.

Dow Bay Area Family YMCA is a beautiful facility. Everyone who works there is friendly and always answers each and every question I ask. The equipment is well maintained and clean. I have gotten to know several members and staff and consider them to be my friends.
When I work out at the Y, it feels very welcoming and inclusive. I feel comfortable and look forward to seeing friends and the staff are extremely supportive and always upbeat. It’s very motivating. 😀
I love the walking track, easy on the feet. I love the machines, especially the bicycles. I like pretty much everything about it so far. I am pretty new to it.

It's clean, versatile classes, flexible hours, economical, and staff friendly at the front desk.
The pool area is a great place to exercise and having a seperate pool for the kids to play in makes it fun for everyone. They have classes in the pool to engage the older folks in exercise therapy. The goal being healthy independence. The staff goes above and beyond for the community. I'm grateful for my Bay area YMCA. THANKS Y'ALL.

I enjoy coming to the y, I enjoy your splash, walking around the track, riding the bike and working out on some of the machines. So why staff is very helpful if you need something. Also other patrons are usually very friendly thank you have a great day
Making friends
Clean facility with lots of great equipment.
Every staff member I have encountered has been exceptional. I take personal training classes in the pool and the instructor, Rob, is absolutely fantastic. He does not push me beyond my capability, but he does challenge me to push just a little further.
Landon is kind, respectful, hard-working and gives excellent service to every individual that enters the YMCA facility. I appreciate his training advice and hope that he is recognized by DOW for his contributions.
