My two brothers and myself have been watching our mother decline mentally over the past year until we finally realized we had to do something in order to protect her from her self. I reached out to carepatrol and I realized I was in touch with someone who knew what my brothers and me were going through. I had several phone conversations with Ken and he put us at ease knowing he new exactly what we needed for our mother and would set a tour to 4 different memory care facilities that he thought would be the right fit for our mother. Ken made a very important but difficult decision we had to make with care as if it were his own mother. Thanks to Ken we were able to select a great memory care facility for our mother and handled all the necessary paperwork from her doctor to make this all possible. Thanks to care patrol our mother is in a perfect place to take care of all of our mothers needs. Don’t try this difficult task alone call the folks at care patrol they really care and the best part is it did not cost us a dime.

I cannot recommend Care Patrol enough. Kim made what felt like an incredibly overwhelming process so much easier. She was so helpful and really listened to what I was looking for and what concerns I had regarding my relative. The intake person contacted ne in less than ten minutes of my request for information. She was kind and professional, she listened and acknowledged my concerns. Makayla was our guide through the whole process. She explained our options of senior care in the area we wanted to be in. Set up tours to see the different options to meet our needs, family and resident to be. She was so patient with all my questions and concerns. She met us at each facility to introduce us to the staff, facilitating communication between us and continuing to support both of us in this difficult decision. Makayla gave us her direct phone contact information and e-mail, so when reaching out I was able to reach her and continue the process and not have to explain the situation again. Even with this decision being g very difficult for all, she was a calm and gentle course through the whole process and doing follow up checks after my husband moved into his assisted living home. CarePatrol saved my sanity when my husband was in the hospital and in rehab. The information Chris had was a Godsend.
The person who helped us/continues to help us is Annie. She is fantastic - she understands the nuances of interacting with the elderly and she is very knowledgeable about the assisted living facilities in the area. Our particular situation is challenging b/c my elderly uncle was living alone in LA while his closest relatives live in NJ and HI.
Annie was able to bridge the gap by bringing my uncle to different communities and making the visits uplifting and enjoyable. She helped expose my uncle to the idea of moving and she did it in a manner that was kind and comforting. I don't think his transition away from his home of 35 years would have been possible without the help that Annie provided (and continues to provide).
In addition to the help Annie provided to my uncle, she also helped me by getting me focused on certain tasks that needed to be completed to make the whole thing work. She informed me about necessary forms, helped bring my uncle to a doctor's appointment and let me know about the communities she was visiting with my uncle. She also recommended a mover who did a simply amazing job when the time came to move my uncle.
The other thing to consider is that the different communities in an area like LA are wide ranging - from places with six residents to 150. Having an expert like Annie was indispensable. She took the time to get to know my uncle then made recommendations based on his needs.
For anyone in the LA area who is considering this kind of move for a family member, do us all a favor and contact CarePatrol. I enthusiastically recommend them.
