My son really enjoyed all the activities. His favorite was fishing and archery.

I like how there was plenty of activities to do for my child there. She enjoyed her time, she came back home with plenty of stories about her day there. I only wish it was closer to us, but I don’t regret sending my child to camp thunderbird. What an amazing experience!!

You kept them moving, so many different things to choose from. It also allowed my child to try new things they wouldn’t normally do.

All 3 of my kids loved Camp Thunderbird. They liked that it was different most days. Their favorite activities are fishing and the tower. The councilors are great as well. My kids especially loved Yates and Story Jane

I only have one kid there now, my oldest has aged out of day camp but went for seven summers (and may want to be a counselor). I love that they are outside all day and both have enjoyed just being in nature, fishing, playing gaga, etc. It makes me happy to see them not need screens to have great summers.

All I can ask is that my daughter stays engaged with activities, has fun, learning, and socializing and from what my daughter has told me, that is being accomplished.

My kids enjoy all of the different activities they are able to engage in at Thunderbird, each day provides something different than the day before.
Also want to call out Yates as being a phenomenal counselor and going above and beyond to work with my neurodivergent kiddo. His understanding and skill at working with the varying behaviors have really helped my kiddo learn and grow.

We have loved the diversity of experiences my 6 year old son has had at Camp Thunderbird! He isn’t old enough for all activities yet, but they were transparent with that ahead of time so I just set expectations before he went and it has not been an issue for us. It has been a good opportunity for him to practice managing feelings about getting to do what you want each week, but not alwayst the minute you want to do it, He has made so many new friends and has really liked the engagement with all his counselors at camp and on the bus as well! He’s already trying to hype his little sister up for when she can join him!

My son loved the variety of activities. The timeframe is always great for working parents.

There is a huge gap between a typical summer camp schedule and the schedule of a full time job that creates a massive problem for parents who truly need to work full time, but who have children who are past daycare but still too young to take care of themselves. This is especially true for in-office parents and attorneys who have to meet billable hours requirements or medical workers who lack flexibility in their in office hours. Camp Thunderbird is far and away the best option here and we are so grateful to have you! Our other camps cost more for less care and require us to pay extra for before/after care. Having the many bus options is especially helpful! While camp was a little overwhelming the first week, my daughter quickly got the hang of things and has absolutely adored her time at Thunderbird.

Variety of activities, support from counselors, team building exercises and my girl is more confident in building relationships.

Abby absolutley loved camp Thunderbird- We wish we had signed up for additional camps earlier in the year so she could have attneded more. We will be back next year for sure! =)

He loves being outside and active! He also loves the socialization, especially during the summer when schools out.
