The counselors create great connections with the children.
Games, affordability pricing, structure
That they are outdoors and fun filled. My kids have always enjoyed going to CTB.
Beginners swimming lessons,
Full day of outdoor fun and activities
I love how excited my son is to go each day and how each day has something different and special for him to do. He is able to experience things so differently then a normal camp.
Keeps the kids active, busy, and off screens!
My son loves Camp Thunderbird! He has nothing bad to say about it. Swimming, fishing, archery, zip line, canoeing and Gaga ball! He has been going there for 4 years now and says when he becomes a teenager he would love to work there! My only complaint is the increase in age to 8. I wish they still had it open for ages 5 and up.
Daily swimming and multiple activities for the kids to explore. The themed weeks are awesome.
Variety of activities. Communication and ability to reach individuals with concerns.
My daughter always has a great time at Camp Thunderbird. She enjoys the Alpine tower and the zipline the most and always comes home happy and tired!
The activities offered are awesome, my son really enjoys them.
Each day my nephew came home excited to tell me about the things he did each day, but he was also exhausted. From swimming, games, and zip lining, he enjoyed every minute. As the adult responsible for him, the communication between the camp and the adults was great. If I had my own children I would happily send them to this camp.
The counselors were great with the kids! They loved all the activities.
The counselors seem to take their jobs seriously and really make it fun for the kids. My son especially loves marksmanship. He has a great time.
Its great that the Y runs a program that gets kids outside all day and out from in front of screens. In the summer, kids should smell like dirt, sweat, chlorine, and sunscreen and every day its like a nostalgic "whoosh" back to my own childhood when my son gets in the car.
The staff is amazing. Our 2 boys have a great time and have enjoyed even the rainy camp weeks. The activities are engaging and challenging, the campers and staff are supportive and help to instill values into our boys. We are grateful for the opportunity our boys have to learn and grow through their camp experience.
Variety of activities, wonderful staff, hours, location
This was my son’s first time at CampThunderbird and he loved it. He enjoyed all of the activities offered, especially the zip line and lake activities. He can’t wait to go back again next year.
My child has the MOST fun!
I live the LiT program. It’s a great opportunity for my son to practice leadership skills!
Loved the swimming and zip lining. As a parent it would be nice if the locations knew a little more about Thunderbird to help parents with questions before camp starts.
The nature activities and that kids do things not screen related or digital. I like that they get experiences like archery with real instruction.
My 13 year old son gives it a 10 out of 10.
Kids loved it! Lots of fun, adventurous activities for them. Aqua zip was awesome
My daughter gave this score
The zip line wa Amy kid’s favorite
Zip, aqua zip, BB guns - love that kids are outside trying new activities, developing skills, making friends and are tired when they get home!
I love camp thunderbird for my son! He is engaged and active all throughout the day learning new skills all while having lots of fun. Before camp thunderbird my son didn’t really like engaging in crowds. He was very shy… camp thunderbird has brought out the confident leader in him.
I love that they are outdoors and they are a variety of different things, not just one thing.
1. There were a variety of programs, which kept the children fully engaged.
2. The staff was very helpful and involved during all the activities.
3. The children learnt some new skills like fishing, which otherwise we probably would have never explored.

Great Place For Kids To Have FUN!
