We were concerned this winter because of issues that we read on social media and in the newspaper with Superior Propane. We decided to wait it out because we have been with Downeast for close to 20 years. Superior propane showed up and did what our contract promised. It was concerning, however, thinking we might not have enough heat.

The technician who came out for my home inspection was nothing short of exceptional. As a new homeowner, I had a lot of questions, and he didn’t just answer them; he took the time to walk me through my entire system in a way that was clear, patient, and genuinely helpful. He made sure I understood not just what he was doing, but why it mattered and how I could maintain things moving forward. He didn't leave until he made sure that my system was up and running.
What really stood out was how far he went beyond the basics. He wasn’t rushed, he didn’t cut corners, and he treated my home with real care and respect. You can tell he takes pride in his work and actually cares about the people he’s helping, not just checking off a task.
Honestly, employees like this are rare. If you’re smart, you’ll hold onto him, give him a raise, a promotion, something, because he represents your company in the best possible way. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Every time I call the office for assistance on an issue, I am answered by a woman who is extremely friendly, helpful, and (most important) very knowledgeable about the delivery system and the online portal. She can alway answer my question and solve my problem quickly and efficiently.
The delivery men are also friendly and helpful.

I was so happy that you guys were willing to do a delivery that I was not sure I needed! I had someone come out to check my tanks a month before. Apparently, the floaters balls got stuck with the temps we had. But still feeling unsure they did a 20-gallon delivery for me. Which confirmed that my tanks were indeed okay. What a relief for me. BEST!!!! Gas company I have had so far. So happy with them!! Anybody out there not happy with yours.... try them!!

Service was quick and efficient. I had a scheduled service window of 2-4 pm and the tech called/arrived very shortly after 2 so there was minimal waiting involved. He diagnosed and fixed the issue on my newer Whirlpool washer unit very quickly and it works like a charm now. I will use Downeast Energy again for any appliance issues in the future.
