Friendly and helpful staff.
It's a generally friendly place; staff is great. If you come at the right time the egym is not too crowded; pool lanes are always crowded.
The egym is an annoying place, because there are many who do not honor the rules of moving on after a machine is timed out, especially if they started in the middle of a machine pattern.
There must be a way to block a person from repeatedly using one machine - couldn't you set the machines up to only allow a person only one round, and they then must move on? People think they can stay on a machine as long as they want, and butt in line to start a machine no matter if there are people who will be coming to that machine after a 2 minute circuit is finished. Several individuals think the egym is theirs and theirs alone.
As always, it is a pleasurable experience interacting with both staff and attendees. And because staff are well educated, trained and often certified, there is aconfidence participating in classes. Great job Milford YMCA!
I have been swimming for more than forty years in many different pools. None were as consistently well-maintained as yours. Your pool is always clean and the temperature is consistently good. It is not too warm or too cold. I am also grateful that the pool is frequently available. Some years ago, a swim team monopolized the pool, but this has not been a recent problem.
It was clean and organized.
At 75 years of age I decided to learn to swim, and it's been an awesome experience! My swim instructor John is patient and fun to work with! I'm doing things in the pool that I never thought that I'd be able to do.
The accessibility and the schedule of classes are appealing. The weight room and equipment are excellent. the temps are always comfortable.
Sometimes parking is a little concerning (will there be a space for my car).

The gym staff, especially the new gentleman with braids, is excellent. They are friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Also, the facility is top knotch and I enjoy brining my sons to enjoy it as well.

The friendly atmosphere
The hours are great as they meet the needs of pretty much everyone. Communication is excellent. We appreciate the notifications when something gets in the way of us being able to work out-pool closing, special events, power outages, etc. The staff at the desk are warm and welcoming, and helpful. We love being able to use our membership when we travel.The cost is reasonable too.
