I love the kind, respectful employees! They are welcoming and you get a drink of tea or water when you check in. They are prompt and knowledgeable about products. Amber gives me a back and head massage before she begins my cut. I get the full experience for an amazing price!

My stylist Angela is wonderful. She listens to my suggestions and offers honest feedback. I always feel both beautiful and special. She lets me know about upcoming special prices on products I enjoy, and gives tips on the best way to utilize them.
Everyone at Rize salon is friendly and helpful. Together they make it the best place ever.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

I was in the market for a new salon as I recently moved to Brighton and was lookin for a stylist closer to where I live. I specifically asked for a stylist who is good at dealing with curly hair and was referred to Angela. I asked my stylist what the ingredients of my shampoo were before putting it in my hair, and instead of actually reading them, she states what it was scented with. There are sulfates in Aveda's curly hair product line. These dry out my hair and make into a frizzy mess. She proceeds to cut my hair and combs it profusely before "styling" it. I had to stop her midway through as it became more apparent Angela had absolutely no idea what she was doing with my hair. The curl pattern would not hold with the way she was handling it in the diffuser: letting it sit for literally 30 seconds and moving onto another section of hair leaving no time for curl definition. I went home and completely washed out the Aveda products and used my own as this line does not have appropriate ingredients for my hair. I'm really just getting so sick of stylists treating curly hair like straight hair and getting away with it.

I’ve been to Rize salon several times for hair cuts, and every time I’ve been I’ve got great service! Each hairstylist I’ve had has been really good. They always listen to your needs and design your hairstyle the way you want it. They also give you really delicious tea each time you go and a scalp massage!
