I love the Y because it is small and quiet. I have enjoyed using the pool regularly for lap swimming. I understand that the problems at the Beverly Y pool have affected us this summer, but I do think it would be helpful to know when the extra classes are going on in the pool so we know the real number of Lap lanes available. Knowing what to expect makes a big difference and helps us decide when to come.

The y has something for all ages. My kids range from teens to toddler and there are programs that meet al our interests. It’s also a community. Everyday we go we see friends and familiar faces.

My daughter loves going to the Y in Salem. She looks forward to it every year. Her absolute favorite activity is art and crafts.

large variety of group ex classes, mind/body studio is great, yoga instructors are kind & knowledgable, fitness floor vibe is welcoming, plus pool. Y may be more expensive than other fitness facilities on the area but membership is a great value and Salem is lucky to have the Y in our community.
First off, it’s about a half mile from my house, not too crowded, I swim in the pool and like a number of classes- mat Pilates, Zumba Wed night, strength training-
My family and I appreciate the community feel of the Salem YMCA.
The Salem Y is fantastic! The weight room is super clean with all the best equipment. The exercise bikes and treadmills are top notch. The heavy bag is a REAL heavy bag. There's a basketball court and a swimming pool which few gyms offer and I don't even know my way around the place yet! I know there are MANY other features of a Y membership that I have yet to learn about, let alone take advantage of.
